While these look awesome, I can't understand how anyone can justify $200 for a keyboard or $50 for a mouse pad... Just sayin'.

Indeed.

$100 is my limit for keyboards or mice.

Shit my mousepad was $3... lol

Because some people hate cheap soft mousepads that disintegrate 30 minutes into gaming. I love having a rigid pad that'll never dent, break, bend, or deform in anyway.. And BTW the Blackwidow is AMAZING!

Why is everyone "just saying" these days?

Also, "I'll just leave this here" is getting old too.

@Levi

I don't mind that so much because it isn't used in speech. I hear people all day say something and end it with, "Just saying." and it really pisses me off. I'm gonna snap one day and pop someone after they say it, hopefully it isn't a boss.

For that price these things better be made out of pieces of the Death Star and give me force powers.

@PrimeSynergy The Death Star has always been horribly built. Cheap materials that can't withstand much. Did you not see Episode IV?

You can pay them 30 now, plus 200 when you reach Alderaan.

I get that there is a very niche audience with the funds to blow on shit like this, but come on! $200 for a keyboard?

Did you all say this when the G19 came out too? Or how about the R.A.T. 9 mouse?

If your dropping $300-400 on a good video card, what's $200 on a keyboard that you spend every day typing on?

I doubt I'd trade in my G19 or RAT9 mouse for either, but I might pick up the headset if it really does offer custom sounds from the game that you woudnt hear without that headset.

We'll see I guess.

@Ashane I spent maybe $45 on a Logitech keyboard about 10 years ago that still works great. It's just multimedia but nothing fancy.

Then again, I don't drop $400 on a video card.

Tsk tsk Razer...Jumping the gun on SWTOR based on the hopes that Star Wars fans will gobble everything about it up. Being sensible, i won't do compare it to WoW sales or subscription standards. If an MMO can stay up and give those who like it a good time for a few years then it has served its purpose.

Besides the pretty images at E3 there'was no in game footage. No footage, no news on game mechanics, just CG. So its awkward an MMO no one really knows anything about already has hardware available in such a shaky genre.

What are you talking about? The lead writer even did a live stream of Tatooine showing a ton of in-game footage AT E3.

And people sure as hell will be dropping money for this keyboard. Its Star Wars for frak sake.

Sorry missed that part of E3, and as for it being "Star Wars" the $200 keyboard and $50 mouse pad are utterly ridiculous. Star Wars Galaxies hit the scene and was remarkably bland. Star Wars has been used in and on everything to pillow cases to coffee mugs, not everything is worth buying for fraks sake. :)

I never understood these customized keyboards. Is someone amassing a collection of PC keyboards like guitars?

"That's my Warhammer keyboard. Bitch'n. And that one...Old Republic. Don't touch it. I just greased it."

I REALLY want that keyboard. It looks loaded with nice features but, like everyone else, I feel $200 is a bit much for a keyboard. Maybe if I win the lottery.

I have a feeling the price has something to do with Razer licensing that image shifting key tech from that overpriced Optimus keyboard. Maybe they are manufacturing and pricing these so high initially to get the cost-per-unit price down before releasing the Razer Switchblade which features the same keys.
