I thought everybody already knew this, considering they called it "Four Swords."

Ohwait that was the Joystiq reporter.

yeah, online and upgraded visuals like the gc version, plus widescreen on the 3ds version, and stuff like that would be really nice. Finally, a good zelda for the regularish ds.

I was gonna argue with you but then i remembered all the Zeldas I liked were pre ds... touche. Phantom Hourglass wasn't BAD, but they really need to stop pushing those touch controls, cause it's not working out.

ST is a great handheld Zelda, it's problem is the DS just isn't quite strong enough to pull it off. It works, and the controls are great. It took me a while to admit it, but they do work quite well in that one.

I bet you're picturing a neglected youth sitting in a dark corner, a limp link cord hanging out of the side of his gba. a lone tear drops his eye.

In reality my friends used to all buy different games and then swap them amongst us because we couldn't come up with the money to buy more than one of the same game for the sake of multiplayer. pokemon would be the exception though.

IMO it would be great if we could use our link cables to play it, since I haven't had any use for them since the original.

You want to use link cables on a wireless system that doesn't even have a link cable port?

Honest question... Have they ever gone back to add on-line or enhanced graphics? I can think of Ocarina 3ds, Metroid Zero, and Mario All-Stars for graphics... but nothing about on-line. I'm really hoping that they are truly ready to embrace on-line as four swords would be great on-line, but it may also need chat (which Nintendo doesn't often embrace). Crossing my fingers!

Were the Four Swords graphics really that bad? That was one of the first games to use the Wind Waker graphics, which I think should be standard in all future portable Zeldas. Updated LTTP graphics sure, but Four Swords weren't really that bad imo.

@Tab Agreed, I know it is a heated topic, but Windwaker style is by far my favorite. I would be happy to just play on-line.

...Are you kidding? The WW style IS the standard in all portable Zeldas. Ever since FS, there hasn't been a single one that used a different style.
And that's a pity. While I loved TWW's graphics, I want a different looking Zelda handheld for a change, as well as a new Link design (whether you love or hate Toon Link, you've got to admit that he's overused by now).

It's being released as DSiWare, so anyone with a DSi, DSi XL, or 3DS can download it.

It only makes sense to release this game free, considering mostly everyone who payed for it never got to play it. It'll be way more likely to do local multiplayer now since all you'll really need to do is find someone with a 3ds and tell them to download it free online, but online multiplayer would still be a nice touch.

As stated above, it's DSiWare. So anyone with a DSi is a candidate for play as well.

ture, it is dsiware, but i dont see why that would stop them from adding 3D feature to thier own stuff. but either way free is free, just need to get another 3DS or my neices Dsi to play this game.

Maybe people are as bright as they've always been, if not brighter, but with the increased population, there are more instances of stupidity. Also, with the advent of the internet, there's an increased opportunity for these people to express themselves publicly, whereas in the past, that privilege was awarded mainly to the intelligent. All about perspective.

Actually with the internet I'd say it no one's fault except for your own if you're ignorant. Anything and everything you could want to learn is available online now. If you're smart about it, you can get it all for the low low price of free after admission to the internet. Blaming it on the government is lame anyways. Blaming it on Lolcatz and various memes and Family Guy would be far more accurate.

It's DSiWare, so don't expect any 3D.

I really doubt it'll be anything but updated to use the DS' wireless.

Though I'd absolutely love online.

Shame I don't have any friends with a DSi or 3DS.
