If you've yet to pick up Superbrothers' strange and magical iOS title, Sword and Sworcery EP, you'll want to correct that humiliating omission before day's end. For today only, the game's been marked down to $0.99 on iPhone and $1.99 on iPad, and its soundtrack is temporarily pay-what-you-want.

Pretty much, yeah, but a good one. It's tongue-in-cheek and artsy at the same time, and the soundtrack really enhances the whole experience. Heck, maybe the soundtrack MAKES the experience. I don't think the game would be as fun on mute. I'm about halfway through it, and it's a little hard to keep my interest up, given that I have a bunch of other, less chillaxative games begging for my attention...but it is very nicely made. Looks good, sounds great, and employs some (afaik) totally innovative mechanics.

are EP and EP Micro the same, other than ipad compatibility?

As far as I can tell, yes. The micro version cuts out iPad compatability but costs less. On the other hand, the iPad version works fine on smaller devices, which is a nice switch from those games that have wholly-segregated iPhone and iPad versions.

It's totally worth whatever full price was, so this should be a no-brainer.

If you already do NOT own this game, you're stupid. Go buy it. Now. Seriously. Or else.
No really, why are you still reading this?

I waited for a long time for it to be $1 and I just could wait anymore and got it like 3 days ago!! >:(
Oh well, it's a SUPERB game and they deserve the extra $2.

...for some reason my comment didn't post. So I'll just say buy it, like everyone else already has. It really makes you consider taking iOS gaming more seriously (or hope that the industry does).

@Chibi Chaingun Dude/Dudette go to toucharcade and roll through the E3 coverage, industry is coming onboard in droves, though mostly not names you might be familiar with and frankly the longer they wait the less possible it will be for them to join in.

IMO all video game soundtracks should be free if you bought the game.

Dammit, why was I so hasty to click the blue letters? Ah well, all added up, I still paid less than the album's usual price, and I've got the Micro version if I need it...for whatever reason. Prolly smaller than the regular one, so there would be that. (Wonder what the size difference is between the universal World of Goo and the iPhone version...).

I would recommend buying this for iPad, not just the iPhone version. Its not even built for retina, and it just looks a bit washed out. On iPad however, its the most beautiful game i've played this year.

This is a fantastic game, I highly recommend it to everyone who owns an iOS device!

I don't understand why this game recieves so much praise. I recently played it for around 5-10 minutes and all I seemed to do was follow a man through the woods. I'll probably go back to it eventually.

@saturn118 Minor spoliers ,but the KEEP GOING! The games "evolves" into much more the further you progress and please don't spoil it for yourself by looking at guides or anything just trust all the people squealing about this game.
In some ways it's what Zelda would feel like if it was much more emotionally mature.

@Arkane
When I follow the links given from http://www.swordandsworcery.com/news, I see the sale prices in the iTunes store. Maybe this is a region-dependent sale? Are you in the US?

Downloading this right now. I don't really play these types of games, but it's $.99, so I'll give it a shot. Kinda makes me want to impulse buy SF4 now lol.
