Speaking with business giant Forbes, BioWare founders/doctors Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka spoke on the possibility of life after Mass Effect 3, saying that ME3's universe of diverse alien races and planets has struck a chord with the series' audience. While their priorities and resources are currently focused on "nailing it" with ME3, the doctors maintain that possibilities in the future are wide open.
"We do have a desire to continue the Mass Effect franchise," said Muzyka, "and we're working on the details, figuring out what the fans want, figuring out the right way." Given the amount of codex text the series has generated over the years, we don't doubt that there are still stories left to tell in the ME universe.

KOTOR 2 is a great game, if you say anything otherwise then you need to get off your high horse.

I hope most of it ends up being prequels. There's are ridiculous amount of things that are just alluded to in ME.

The fall of Saren? The original Geth uprising? The Protheans fighting the Reapers? The Rachni Wars?
...Yeah, I can see a few prequels.

@The Blank Mage Returns I'd like a version of the First Contact War (even if it was short with few casualties). I want to see how to humans react when finding Prothean ruins and pass through the a mass relay the first time

@Ignatius I'm thinking Vcize is probably in the camp that feels like your first time beating an RPG is "what really happens". You can go through it again with guides and everything, get 100% completion and do everything the way you want, but it just doesn't feel the same, doesn't feel real.

My whole 'crew' survived, but none of my crew survived except for the doc... I'm currently replaying to remedy the situation, but in my haste, I realized a fatal flaw... I let Ashley from the first game live... She's a xenophobic and ignorant character that I'd rather do away with. Gotta replay the first one to get kaiden back.

You probably used him to protect & escort the remaining survivors to the normandy which was a bad idea, you use a soldier like Jacob to do that part of the mission. You can use Garrus as a leader for one of the two times when you split up, I used him on the 2nd one.
Please tell me you didn't use him to unlock/lock the gate...

There's a difference between needing a guide and being psychic. Without using a guide, I managed to keep my team alive on my first playthrough.
However, to keep your crew alive, you absolutely need to be A) lucky, B) psychic or C) have a guide at your fingertips. Not exactly a thrilling turn of events when you find that out.

Psychic? How about just doing all your allies' missions and using logic when choosing who does what in the final mission? I've not lost anyone in any of my playthroughs, and haven't used a guide once. Although my next playthrough I might lose a few less likeable characters just to see how it plays out in 3.

(MORE spoilers)
If you do not complete all of the missions (100% the rest of the galaxy) BEFORE you pick up Legion, you will lose your crew (people operating the ship, not your team) if you want/need to do Legion's loyalty mission. Legion's loyalty mission will not trigger until after the Collector's attack UNLESS you have 100%'d everything else.
There's no warning whatsoever that that is going to happen. If you somehow knew the Collector's would attack two missions after you pick up Legion without checking a guide or have already played through, congratulations... you're psychic.

i think everyone here just realizes that if mass effect were still not available to ps3 fans your comments in this particular article would be much more snide and abrasive...and annoying. given that, i'm surprised you mentioned shadow complex. what a great game, right?

I think they should expand it outside of a human protagonist. Specifically, I'd like to play as a Turian during the First Contact War. Maybe a Turian that needs to stop the war or something like that.
Bioware, please feel free to turn my bad fanfiction into reality.

super prequel mass effect where you play the prothean and other new races living at that time. make it a horrible tragedy (shit made me think of reach) where we see what happens when the reapers win.

pre-prequels - "We wanna see how Anakin becomes Darth Vader"
post prequels - "Nnooooooooooooooooooooooo.. a sad ending, that's so shit"

Haha, the "sad ending" was far from the real issue with the prequels.
Oh and they need to call it Mass Effect: Infinite
:)

Nobody was upset about the sad ending, it was the horrific dialogue, terrible characters, forced CGI, and atrocious acting that really got us.

I'd like to play a game where I start at the Citadel security traffic desk, then move on to homicide, then Asari sex demons, and finally Rogue AI investigations.
I see the lead being played by a mature Jonathan Taylor Thomas, with the female version played by a sassy Jonathan Taylor Thomas.
