You must not understand the use of white space as a design element. I think the artwork is really well done. Yes, I do believe this is cool box art. Cooooool booooox aaaaaaart.

Because "plain" means something ordinary or lacking special qualities, and it typically is used in a derogatory way.

Sounds like someone wants to sound headier than they really are because they know some factoid about design. I think it's some of the more boring and generic box art I've seen, who cares about the negative space.

The box art is why i even clicked on this story.
As a professional designer, its nice to see something other than a soldier on the cover holding a gun, with foil copy.

It's simply more logical for people to assume "plain" was meant negatively than positively. It's the nature of the word.

Is anyone honestly excited for this game? If so, can you tell me what's cool about it? Everything I see about it just keeps pushing it into the "Generic Shooter" category. And the fact that it was made by they guy behind Black (or at least started that way) sort of emphasizes that...

@bigwhiteyeti If I remember right, when it was first announced, it's really big deal was that you were able to blow everything up and the level would adapt. I mean like if there was a wall in your way, instead of walking through a maze you could just blow through the wall and go about your merry way. At least that's what they were going on about when they first talked about it, i don't even know if that's still in there or if I'm even remembering correctly. But hey, Black was pretty rad. It might not have had a unique premise or plot, but it had really really solid gameplay.

Oh, no, I enjoyed Black. In a fun, blow stuff up kinda way. But it got kinda repetitive since there was basically no story progression.

I didn't enjoy Bulletstorm as much as some people, but I thought it was better than Black...

The trailer on IGN is pretty cool. It seems rather generic for the first half, but then the seemingly Tron/Matrix themed level(s?) look pretty awesome.

With the emphsis on building a bodycount I better not be running outta ammo like I have in some games of the past. Hate running round looking for freaking bullets while being shot at.

This box art is a lot better than the previous box art, so glad they removed generic protagonist #8430234 from the cover.
