I love me some Dragon Ballz, but looks can be deceiving. The game looks awesome on the outside, but if you look at the gameplay videos the game is full of QTE (Quick Time Events). So it's the same game but "WITH MORE QTE!!!" :D

I had a lot of fun with Tenkaichi tag on psp. If they had a multiplayer mode like that I would be all over this game.

Tis all i need to enjoy the fun that is naruto.

That and a fix on the puppet balancing(seriously,they are the ultimate cheap fighters on the game). And a fix to the blocking so one cannot block the entire time(especially for the whooole time your triple ultimate is up) and stop the jump-block-shuriken spamming.

And plz make madara fun to fight with. He never leaves himself open for an attack on the anime, no matter how goofy he acted. amaterasu needs to not only travel along the ground all slow as hell either.

and ino's jutsu should not be able to go through a fireball.

if you play naruto online(my record is around 1640-347), u know what im talking about.

I hope the devs read joystiq.

I still think it's too son for a new Naruto game. I get the feeling this new one will be Storm 2 with barely any updates, and just characters from both generations. Hope they prove me wrong, because that is in now way worth $65.

Side-note, DBZ game looks cool. Contrary to the majority of people on the Internet, I enjoyed Raging Blast 1 and 2.

It is too soon. There's not enough story since Storm 2 to make another full game, which is why they have to resort to this gimmick. They should have waited a couple years until the Great Ninja War arc and maybe the next one (hell, maybe the whole series) were over.

Are you talking about the Manga or Anime? I'm pretty sure Ultimate Ninja Storm follows the manga arc... in which case a lot of shit has happened since the last game released. More than enough to fill a game.

The manga, and not really. The first game covered about 27 volumes and the second covered about 20, and there have only been 8 volumes since then.

Not really. We had two arcs: the Kage meeting, and the ninja war's start.

Now, you could have a few interesting fights:

Sasuke versus Danzo, Minato versus Madara, Naruto versus the 9 tails, and the various fights from the ninja war.

With the war still ongoing though, you wouldn't have a real resolution. Heck, we still don't know what all the new naruto can do, minus a few more Rasengan variants.

@BlueXArmed My thoughts exactly. I wish they someway somehow could get the rights for One Piece and begin making One Piece games like this. Or Bleach(Soul Ignition looks like shit and the demo was not impressive), or Soul Eater.

@mrantimatter wat r u talking about, the game only goes from the very beginning of naruto to the naruto vs. sasuke.(rite after danzo vs. sasuke) well thats wat i heard. and there is probably going to make a storm 3 after storm generations. cyber connect 2 are just trying to keep us occupied with storm generations until the manga ends so they can make storm 3. they arent going to go so far in generations. so it will be from the beginning of naruto to the naruto vs. sasuke after the fight with sasuke and danzo. also generations is going to hav downloadable content. i heard all of this from videos and forums and the japanese sites of generations.

@DrDrew Pinsky ; Yes indeed. It's a no-brainer. What I don't understand is why is it that they came make the Naruto games look exactly like the ANIME (and in some cases even better,) but with Dragon Ball they keep trying to do this pseudo-render/polygon style that just look like the characters are made out of play-doh. Why can't they just cell-shade the DBZ games like Naruto and be done with it?

The backgrounds look gorgeous but the sprites look like they just don't belong there. You know?

I don't get it either. I never got into Naruto, but have been a DBZ fan for a long time. But WOW, does Naruto look good! It's like watching the actual cartoon. Why can't DBZ look like that too?

I like the NUNS series but damn, Storm 2 came out not that long ago.

I'm not willing to spend another $60 on this so soon. Maybe if it's not just a gimmick and they actually add a lot of new features, but it depends. If they don't change the structure of the singleplayer count me out, Storm 1 and 2 are way too repetitive.

That was the name I voted for, but it's not really anything to do with fearing change - the name "Ultimate Tenkaichi" is kind of lame, but all of Namco Bandai's other ideas were WAY worse and just plain stupid.

Still, I'm going to be buying both. Yay.

Let's not kid ourselves. It's Raging Blast 3. They just didn't want to call it Raging Blast 3 because they thought it was the NAME that was scaring people away from the series, not the fact that the fanbase is suffering from franchise burnout now.

Maybe they should have had them fighting together instead of against each other, cause current Naruto is so hax he would destroy fluffy collar Naruto. All I can see is him vacuum rasenganing all of those clones at once.

I will admit that was the most ingenious variant he's created thusfar.

Can't wait to see what his version of the bijou bomb looks like. I get the feeling it will be the arsepull he uses to defeat Madara. Leaving him open for a final showdown with Sasuke at the end of the series, probably right after Sasuke puts a killing blow on Tsunade.

The last dragon ball z game I PLAYED was tenkiachi... don't remember which one.. the last one I BOUGHT was budokai 3. Unfortunately there isn't much you can keep doing with DBZ since it's been done for damn near two decades. The same fighting mechanics but with newer features, big whoop.

Naruto looks the same too, one thing I will say. UNS2 was a MAJOR disappointment and that was because of the lack of exploration aspect that was prevalent in first game. But we shall see.

Running around investigating mushrooms and bird droppings were not a good way to change up things after fighting Itachi. Thought NUNS 1 single player was better.

@SpaceFox I was so very disappointed in the "free roam" portion of Storm 2. I HATED every minute of it. If they make it more like previous console Naruto games, with the combat system of Storm 2, then so be it.
