I hate the very fabric of time itself for preventing itself from being October 18th right the hell now.

I'm not complaining...games like this usually take 2 years to release...getting it in one year from the first one...is...reasonable...

It will have been two years. The first one came out in August 2009.

I know how that feels though. I didn't play it until this last fall.

I already watched 22 minutes on IGN and 15 minutes on Gamespot during the E3 coverage. Another 12 minutes won't hurt too much...

Yeah I dunno, the app crashes as soon as I click the video on my iPhone 4. I already tried reinstalling and rebooting and all that. Still doesn't work. Maybe I'll try it again when under wifi.

Any chance this video is posted on YouTube?

I'm a little disappointed that Catwoman gameplay still has bats flying out of defeated opponents to signify earning points.

I'd rather have a swarm of tiny black kittens burst out of unconscious enemies and scamper offscreen.

Whoever is playing is pretty awesome. 28x multiplier? I was lucky to get that in challenge rooms after several retries let alone in game.

The flight mechanics look alright and I'm superstoked to play batman in an open-world setting. October will be a good month.

It's easier then you think. I pushed 100+ on the challenge rooms in Arkham Asylum. Just be patient and sometimes you need to counter multiple times in a row. And if you're feeling overwhelmed, double tapping A to vault over an opponent is a great way to make space between you and the thugs and won't break your combo.

Nice of them to avoid anything even remotely plot related by reversing it.

Not that re-reversing it reveals much of anything.

Yeah I thought that was a bit clever too, what with not wanting to give away too much for those without severe editing equipment.

Therefore we get a good deal of the actual game and story, but the good parts are still kept under wraps.

That is, until some other jerks post what they said in the comments as well.

I just soiled my pants with every kind of fluid excretion.
28x multiplier wasn't hard to get as I got 50+ several time and was 18th in the world leader board for one level and 20+ on many levels.
Still, whoever was playing had mad skills and his combos only ended because there were no more enemies to kick in the face.

Scares me, a vision of a world void of things to kick in the face .

@mywhitenoise dude, chill, I wasn't trying come across as smug and I'm sorry if I did.

My skill in Batman was only the product of me playing the game to death and I really mean, to death.
I used to get so frustrated it became an actual concern for my gf, then after a couple of months, something or another came out and I moved on.

Still, AA was one of the highlight of my gaming life.

I stil play it !! Even after almost 2 years it's still my favorite game of this generation, hands down. On my 9th full playthru now actually. And yes I will play it 10, possibly 11 times before Arkham City releases.

Little touches seem to show the level of care this game has been given.

Like how Batman seamlessly takes an enemy's weapon from him mid-swing and then uses it against him. Or how the bat-signal leads you to your next main objective. Things that seem to fit so naturally you don't even think of them.

I'm very impressed.

They got a pro from the testing team that played it for months to show off the combat, make it look really easy. The city looks kind of ... bland, everything is just black with neon signs. Other than that looks great!

It is the guy from Bulletstorm, Steve Blum. He's probably the only guy who does as much video game voice work as Nolan North.

He was also Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop and Grunt in Mass Effect 2, among countless others.

No Arleen Sorkin, either. I wonder why so many voice actors from the animated series are missing from this one, especially the ones that were in Arkham Asylum.
