The mod looks really cool but the trailer could've been better. It took way too long to get to the actual game footage.
I understand building the anticipation but it shouldn't take half of your trailer to do that.

@Mcmax3000 This mod has been out for a fair bit of time in an unfinished state, but that's all I know about it. Was just wondering if anyone here has played and can comment on the amount of active servers or something.

And yes, I am an avid "core" gamer, too. And I practically comb this site for info everyday now, especially since the Joystiq for Android app came out.

Yep. IW 4.0 is just a modified Quake 3 engine that added a couple graphical upgrades like shaders; Similar to what Tenebrae did to the first quake.

This is exactly why mod tools need to be available for games. Battlefield no longer having them is one of the worst things to happen to FPS games.

@wcarnation You are so right, I remember an awesome Star Wars conversion mod for Battlefield 2 way back in the day. It had space battles with X-wings and everything! Damn shame we won't be able to see that sort of thing, at least not quickly or easily, with Battlefield 3's kind of graphics
