I still think Spiderman 2 was the best one out of all spidey games to be released.

I still say Spiderman on PS1 was the BEST spiderman to ever exist. So I would have to disagree with you. But to each there own.

I still say that PS1 Spider-Man was a borefest (and it was my first Spidey game), especially compared to Spider-Man 2. But like you said, to each there own.

@psnshe69mee I could not agree with you more. Love that game. I love the part where you fight that Guy in the deli( forgot his name), I saw his 3 bars fill up and thought to myself oh shit. Hit him once and he was done. Hilarious. The free roam web slinging is so much fun.

This. Why play as Spider-Man if you can't web swing all around the city?

While Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions was missing the free roam from previous Spider-Man games, I haven't enjoyed a Spider-Man game as much since Spider-Man 2. I also thought having each Spider-Man in that game being voiced by a previous animated Spider-Man voice actor over the past few decades was a great touch as well. I will be looking forward to this one and keep my fingers cross they had enough development time on it assuming they will just use the previous graphical engine from Shattered Dimensions.

Spider-Man, Spider-Man. Need to free roam, Spider-man.
What's that you say? Point A to B?
Doesn't matter cuz you're Spider-Man.
Look Out! They want cash, cuz you're Spider-Man!

The only thing that is annoying as all hell is Parker does NOT look like a high school student at all and if this is supposed to be in the Ultimate universe then isn't he supposed to look MUCH younger than he appears in this? Hell, Tobey looked younger in the first Spider-Man than this guy does...

Guess they're still just going with the trend of casting 25+ year old actors to play as teens in high school which is so annoying. Especially in the new Nightmare on Elm St where the "ki8ds/teens" just doesn't look like they should even be in high school anymore...

Oh and I'm talking about the movie trailer... Can't wait till the new game comes out, I've liked all the Spider-Man games, but like others, kind of wish they would make it more open than just a linear gameplay and just "exploring" in the said level your in at the time....

I rather enjoyed The Amazing Spider-Man trailer. I love Andrew Garfield after seeing The Social Network, and I also loved Toby Maguire, for the record, and despite the complaints of the cheesy CGI at the end of the trailer, it was still creative, and you gotta hand it to 'em for recognizing a unique aspect of games and using it as their inspiration. And that final shot of Spidey was satisfactory, even with the numerous set photos of the suit online, it was so finished and substantial

Meh.

I hate Tobey Maguire. He doesn't act so much as mumblewhine his way through all of his roles. I just couldn't get into the Spider-Man flicks because of his patented MopeGuireā„¢ schtick.

This Andrew Garfield fellow seems like he could be alright...

Aw, who am I kidding? I'll take anyone that doesn't make Peter Parker sound like a bizarre blend of Droopy D and a puberty-stricken teenage girl reciting Twilight fan-fiction.

Holy Titty Monsters.

I just watched the trailer for the new movie.

Yes. Please. I want more.

The casting seems decent...but as long as I get more "Mirror's Edge featuring Spider-Man," I'm sold.

In fact, I would like to implore/threaten DICE to develop a Mirror's Edge featuring Spider-Man game. Seriously, DICE developers, it would...

...a) Be super-duper awesome.

...b) Prevent me from having to sneak into your apartment(s) wearing a Spider-Man outfit, tying you to your bedposts, and bare-ass farting directly into your nostrils.

It's your choice, guys. Either create an awesome first-person Spider-Man game or smell the inside of my anus.

It's totally up to you.

"Shattered Dimensions", "Edge of Time"... Back in my day, good ol' Spidey just took care of the rabble in modern-day Earth-616 NYC but now he's became a dimension-jumping, time travelling sort of fella? Why's that, New York ran outta bad guys?

While I assume this release date is along the lines of "get in there before the rush of games this fall" or "make sure we don't get forgotten", I wonder if releasing in Dec/Jan would benefit them more.
