The more I see of Rage the more I wish it was a Firefly game.

@Deekman Same here. Every time I hear the music that goes with the logo I have a sudden urge to go watch some Firefly. In fact, I'm off to go watch an episode right now.

Looks pretty good. Gonna read a review on this one before I buy. Hopefully it delivers... I was excited for Brink. Look at how that turned out.
I don't know why people bash this game. Sure, it's post apocalyptic. The graphics look amazing though. Gameplay looks fun, challenging, and immersive. I mean, it doesn't look GOTY good necessarily, but I don't think it's trying to hide what it is: a post-apocaylptic Doom 10.
It's no Fallout 4, but should appeal to those who like Fallout and Borderlands.

Not to say that Brink was bad, it was just underwhelming after all built-up hype...

this game had my attention a few months back, almost to a point where it was one of my personal "FUZT DEY BAY"... but looking at it now i can't help but feel its almost the same game i played already, especially compared to Borderlands and Fallout (right down to the enemies and names). I have also learned not to be hyped up by Developer Diaries because they will always tell you how overly awesome something is when in reality it usually isn't that great of a deal (like Fallout 3's Dev Diary explaining all the "possible" endings)... i'm going to have to wait for general reviews at this point because in all honestly Fall 2011 is shaping up to be yet another blockbuster (and walletbuster) season for gaming yet again.... also, SKYRIM.

Is anybody else having problems where Adblock Plus doesn't seem to be doing its job?
I've just reloaded this video 3 times and can't skip the g'damn dental ad. -_-

I despise ads but keep note that if you truly enjoy a site you should support them by dealing with them. Its really the only way a website can make any money.
That being said, try subscribing to "fanboy" list and "easy list" and you shouldn't get any vid ads.

Hey i was also having that same problem, with chrome and firefox, I think some how the ads got smarter... So i fixed it by downloading a 64bit Firefox browser called Nightly cuz its still in beta, along with a beta java and flash 64bit.
WORKS AMAZING! Faster loads on some heavy java/flash pages and no more ads from joysitq, gametrailers, or g4tv

Anyhow...it reminds me heavily of Borderlands, except that I hope this time around, the game has a soul/tangible story of some sort.
Dungeon-crawling is all good and all, but by the time I got to the General Knox DLC and the seemingly endless amounts of driving back and forth along the same roads, and no interesting loot, I found myself often falling asleep while playing at a buddy's house, controller in hand.

I have been keeping up with game for a long time and it so close to release. Its day one buy for me, another type of rpg-shooter. Anyone having doubts just look at the wellspring walkthrough, awsome.

I thought Rage was coming out in September? The end of that vid said 10-4-2011. Seeing that made me immediately go flaccid.

that matt hooper guy kinda looks like peter stormare.
great graphics look really immersive, hopefully it'll look just as good on console. that mexican talking guy seems forced in there with all the simpatico talk though.

I was hoping this would be a combo of the best parts of Borderlands (multiplayer and guns) and Fallout 3 (open world and freedom). It looks like it might be the opposite...

I like how ID is trying to sell things like "character immersion and interactivity", "open world game play", and "player choice" as innovations. I honestly may be reading too much into their crafty marketing speak, but I fear this will be nothing more than another ID corridor shooter with a facade of open world game play, and some RPG elements peppered here and there. I'm not sold until I see some reputable reviews.
Does look pretty, though! But, that's of no great surprise.
