God of War Master Collection 'currently' only for Germany

As much as we love writing about video games here at Joystiq, it pales in comparison to our real hobby: crushing hopes and dreams. If you were looking forward to playing through every single God of War game in the God of War Master Collection that was spotted on Amazon's German site, and you don't actually live in Germany, you're out of luck.

When asked about the listing, Sony informed Joystiq that the Master Collection is "currently only slated for the German market." It seems a bit unlikely that such a collection would be exclusive to a single region, so we wouldn't be surprised to see it announced for other regions as well. Of course, we'll take all the dream crushing we can get, even if it is only temporary.

Dude, it's just a repackage of the 3 main games, plus the 2 ported PSP games, which were already confirmed to be available everywhere else separately. Unless you don't have a single God of War game, it isn't that big a loss, and even then, it's only a few bucks.

Its about the marketing ploy of "we aren't going to release it to you..... *waits waits* ..... oh we were just kidding, lulz".

It's business, they weigh the cost of something against the profit. If they don't think something will be profitable then they don't do it, which goes without saying that you can still get these games in every other region.

Funny... god of war seems like the kind of game that would be heavily censored, or not released at all in germany.

I hope Sony eventually change their mind and release it for the u.s and the rest of Europe. I never played a god of war game and i was looking forward to getting the master edition.

i already have all 3 and planning to get the psp ones when they come i have a feeling ill buy this when im rich enough and put it on my shelf and never open it maybe in ten yrs when i forget about it then ill replay it.

Since the PS3 is not region locked, there's always the import option right? RIGHT? I'm so sad 'currently'

Say what?! Dude that bites, I was looking for ward to it! It's my favorite thing next to airsoft. I usually go the field I found here http://www.airsplat.com/states.htm and play video games when I get home. Oh well.
