Rumor: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D to be released in 2012

Rumors are
circulating that the 3DS version of
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will be released in 2012.
Kotaku Australia reports that Konami confirmed the news directly, though the publisher provided no further information other than a 2012 release date.
When approached for comment, Konami informed Joystiq that no North American launch date has been announced. At the Tokyo Game Show last year, Hideo Kojima
announced a 2011 release for the game. If this latest news is true, it would seem the date applied only to Japan.
