Dying to see the "improvements". Should make me decide if it's worth the 60 again.

Except Orton is 41-21 to Cutler's 50-42 since the trade. Orton looks like the better player AND the Broncos got a crap ton of picks from the Bears. I'd weep for the Bears on that one.

I'll enjoy beating up on those overrated Bears over and over. No need to buy the game, really. Unless I also got the itch to beat the Vikings too.

Nah, the NFL lockout won't allow it.. so it's just the same game with a new cover athlete.

Fan voting means that everyone is voting against their favorite players. Hillis had a good year, but there was easily many other players that should have made it instead. The fear of the Madden curse strikes again.

@Schlecht I'm a diehard packers fan, and i voted against A.ssault R.ifle aka The People's Champ, aka God's Son, aka badass SOB(son of brett) cause of the Madden curse. August 9 is gonna decide if i buy NCAA 12 or this. I'm leaning towards college this year.

Nah... I doubt enough people voted that way to even make a dent. They advertised the hell out of the bracket on ESPN TV and radio, so plenty of people were voting who would have no knowledge of the Madden curse or simply wouldn't care. Otherwise, why wouldn't something non-specific like the 12th Man have won?

You're just way underrating the popularity of Hillis. He was very popular in Denver and much of that fan base wishes they still had him... so probably got a lot of votes there. Ohio is a football crazed state and Hillis is the throwback, blue collar type of player they love... and the movie star good looks clearly doesn't hurt. Then you have his college home, Arkansas, which is also football crazy and has no pro team. So when this vote came up it was all over the big college sports forums there. So lots of votes there.

Then throw in the fact that Hillis and Vick were all over ESPN radio together and on Sports Nation on ESPN TV when the bracket started to promote the contest. You think it's purely a coincidence that those two were in the finals? Please.

Hillis is just the type of guy people love. So all those above factors got him a good start and once other teams started losing there representatives the previous rounds Hillis likely started picking up votes from those teams' fans. The fans took the opportunity to put a blue collar type of person on the cover rather than the rather cliched QB/star from the Superbowl winning team. The idea that it was fear of the Madden curse is, quite frankly, laughable.

I just voted for Hillis cuz I had never heard of him. I originally had been pulling for Seattle's "12th Man" because that would have been even more stupid. I think a lot of people were like me and voted for less popular players to see if they could get one on the cover of the game.

Assuming it looks like NCAA Football 12, there are some huge graphical improvements in this game compared to last year, especially with the tackling animations. The game finally looks super-real. Tackles don't ever look stupid or ridiculous any more.

The AI felt like a downgrade in NCAA 12.

Constantly dropping obvious interceptions.

Completely ignoring the guy with the ball sometimes.

The referees slide across the field or hop around the ball like some ancient Indian dance.

NFL 2K5 is so overrated. I enjoyed it but it's presentation was terrible and it was patronizing to some sort of white version of urban culture that games were doing at the time with the "crib".

I see why people like the gameplay. It was kinda of arcade. You just drop back and passed deep bombs and it would work most every time. It was auto-aim for football.

what in the blue blazes are you talking about? not only was 2K5 great, its price point was great. It one-upped madden at it's own game. Its actually the sole reason why EA got the contract with the NFL, they were scared shitless about the competition rising in that much quality.

I haven't bought a Madden in the last 3 years. When I play them at my friend's houses, I don't really notice a difference from the new to the old one.

To me, it's a new cover with a different last name under someone while playing. I know that'll piss people off, but it's just my opinion.

@INTRO

Get off it already.

Madden 09 was probably the worst Madden ever. Madden 10 was among the top 3 best Madden's ever (behind only '95 and '04).

You're telling me that nothing changed between the worst version of Madden ever and one of the best? I just want to make sure I understand what you're saying, based on the opinions that you made after 3 minutes with the game.

@Vcize Hardly anything changed. New cover and roster updates, that's all it is in my eyes.

You're doing a poor job of changing mind considering you're just saying your opinion without any reasons backing it up.

"You're telling me that nothing changed between the worst version of Madden ever and one of the best?" Where's the stat that shows the rating of how good each Madden is? Or is that just your opinion?

Madden 09, 10 and 11 are basically the same to me, that will surely continue for a long time.

These games get constantly bagged as just 'roster updates' even though they've added some excellent features in the past few installments.

NCAA 12 was a huge upgrade over 11 and I'm looking forward to see what Madden has in store for us. Haters gonna hate. Getting tired of always seeing people blindly hate on these games even though it's obvious they haven't played them.

-TeamBuilder is an amazing system in NCAA.
-The new grass adds a lot to the game.
-NCAA 12 added college specific events, such as Chief Osceola of the Florida State Seminoles planting the flaming spear in center field.
-Improvements to previous gamemodes and the introduction of new gamemodes which are constantly ignored.
-New animations look amazing, there were times when the game looked almost real if it weren't for it being on the consoles.
-The new playbook system for Madden looks like a great addition for those that actually care about the game.
