Modern Warfare 3 will also blow up the world on Wii

Activision's been hesitant to talk about whether its upcoming soon-to-be-blockbuster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 would also bust blocks on the Wii -- despite the fact that the franchise's last outing, Black Ops, appeared on the console. During today's investor's call, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg brought said hesitation to an end, explaining, "We're pleased to have recently confirmed that we will release a Modern Warfare 3 Wii SKU this year, so as not to leave any of the community out of the excitement."

Just look into the toilet after you take a dump and you can save that rental money.

@StormChaser91 Black Ops actually has some of the best FPS Wiimote controls on the system, besting even the Conduit. If you can get past the inferior graphics, the Wii CoDs can be a lot of fun as they're easily far better and more robust than any other FPS available on that system.

Ha ha. Don't know why I got down-voted. I remember the outrage in the game community when the first shots of MW1 for the Wii were released, but apparently everybody's okay with it now.
But really, don't play Call of Duty on the Wii. It's just one of those games that is meant to be played on an HD system. Save your money for Skyward Sword.

If the graphics are decent and the the gameplay is good then this could be OK.

So they're basically just skipping MW2 then?

Lolz. Wii + MW3... It will already be bad enough on console. *embraces downvotes*

This doesn't make sense. How can Activision bring a $60 MW2 map pack to a system that doesn't even have MW2?
ZING!!!!
ZING!!!!

Ew shooters on the wii are so bad. The gun moving independently from the camera and character just makes movement awkward and then you can't comfortable play the game in a relaxed position like laying on your bed because then you aiming and movement goes to crap. Either way only wii only people will buy and stick to this version. No one will choose this over the ps3 or 360 version. Sucks they won't get dlc and I doubt Nintendo wil let them add uprates.

I dont really agree with your comment to a level, Your Wii/Modern Warfare 3 (Shooters) comment holds no value for me really! I played very comfortable with Killzone 3 on the PS3 with the Move both Single Player and Online.....I guess its each to there own.

- "Either way only wii only people will buy and stick to this version." Well, duh! You telling me 360 owners don't do the same thing? Guess that means the HD PS3 remakes of Wii games won't sell either.
- " Sucks they won't get dlc and I doubt Nintendo wil let them add uprates" Yup, the lack of DLC will suck. For PS360 owners MW3 is an updated MW2 map pack. For me, its a new game! What are uprates? Is that what you call the cost CoD map packs on HD systems?
Why are haters posting? Wii and MW3 are in the title. Don't like it, don't read it. As a Wii FPS fan this is good news. What other big name game is coming other than Zelda? Give me zombie co-op (without the freeze ups) and headbanger support and I'm in.

I thought CoD4 for Wii was an awful port, but WaW wasn't bad. Did they ever bring MW2 to Wii? o.o

Well, if Reflux edition blew as it did (and it does) - you think it's a good idea to bring 2 over???
I agree W@W was really good, and while I passed on BLOPS I am sure ti controlled well. I see no reason this couldn't work. I'll still pass though.

Pretty much a given when they showed the Headbanger headset branded with the MW3 logo:

Still, very nice for me. Getting a free copy of MW3 Hardened Edition for 360, thanks to attending CoD XP, and buying this for Wii.

The engine is 4-5 years old anyway, not like graphics will be a huge problem.

The Wii? Seriously? Isn't that like, last gen by now? Can't even remember the last time I played a good Wii game and I've played close to 60 of them this year alone.

Really? You won't release it on the Mac, but you'll gladly do it for the Wii. C'mon, I mean the Mac runs on OpenGL, which is what the PS3 uses, the Mac has Steam support, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is one of the best selling Apps in the Mac App Store right now.

I've said it a dozen times. I would've been glad to pay $400 at launch for the Wii if it were more powerful than it is now. Wii is great for certain games, but Modern Warfare isn't one of them.
