I am glad to see Tira back, her style is interesting. Her new look looks cool.
And that frontal image of Ivy when stepping on you, quite a figure!

This use to be a really awesome series... But, meh, I don't know- this one just lacks the soul (excuse the pun) that made the original two games so great. Everything since SC2 has been le' garbage IMO. This doesn't look like its going to change things too much, but who knows, I'm probably just too big a skeptic. Hope it does well.

True story, let me tell you:
I was nearly born on the sword, but it took ABSOLUTE CONCENTRATION for me to avoid its ravenous blade edge. Luckily, with the EXTREME AGILITY of a dancing weasel, I deftly maneuvered mid air using the umbilical cord as a rope of sorts--excuse me for my foolishness comrades, for I thought myself for a small moment to be Nathan Drake and Tarzan's God-and-biology-challenging love baby with the ability I possessed at this crucial moment--but I had not escaped danger yet! As my makeshift rope fell upon the blade, my lifeline both in the womb and now outside it was severed, and gravity took hold. The DEVASTATING STRIKE of the floor was an unwelcoming prospect to my squishy, fragile body, so I took flight! Apparently, Icarus, too, got in on the unholy situation intimated beforehand.

This still looks more like SC 4.V ... the backgrounds look like remixes of the ones found in SCIV.

Ok, I have to know. Have they said what modes SCV will have?
Soul Calibur 3 had SO MUCH TO DO. It had an actual, long story, with branching paths, Tales of the Soul or whatever, Chronicles of the Sword, buying new stuff, all that great crap.
Then SCIV came along, threw it all out the window, had the most bare bones story mode any game has ever had ever, and decided that the only side fun anyone needed was an infinite tower of fighting the same enemies over and over and over and over. It also made clothing affect stats so you couldn't dress nice and be optimally strong at the same time. Someone who dressed like an idiot would have a distinct advantage over someone who customized their character to be...um. Custom.
Will IV redeem the series or just go further into it being total shit?

@FuzzyPierce
Heh, you mean will "V" redeem the series...? =P
But I definitely agree, with the character creator at least. That whole Tower thing was alright, but custom characters made any of the real ones obsolete since you could use the exact same fighting styles WHILE getting all the absurd health and power boosts you want.
They really need to drop the stat aspect of it, and allow people to actually focus on the original reason it was included, which was to make our own characters look however I want. I also hope they do decide to bring back unique fighting styles that characters in SC 3 could use.

What's this, they COVERED Ivy's breasts instead of giving her tassels as predicted? Maybe this game won't suck after all!

Lmfao, English dubbing + fighting games always winds up sounding like a cross between a cheesy SyFy Channel movie and a cheap porno.
