Gameloft is at it again, it seems. The copysmiths of the iOS world have come up with a western shooter much in the veign of Rockstar's incredibly successful Read Dead Redemption, titled Bullet. For those of you keeping score at home -- actually, how are you keeping score? Gameloft has "adapted" so many games!
Regardless, its efforts have proven successful and we expect nothing less from Bullet. Apparently, Gameloft was uploading some trailers for the game, presumably for Bullet's announcement, but had forgotten to turn on the "private video" function. A Touch Arcade reader caught the goof and the rest is, as they say, history.
From the two thumbnails above, we can surmise that Bullet is a third-person shooter set in the old west. But until Gameloft officially announces the game, that's all we've got to go on. Well, that and the entirety of Red Dead Redemption.
Rumor: Gameloft's 'Bullet' is the Red Dead Redemption your phone's been waiting for

That would be a difficult case to prove.
It also helps that CEO Michel Guillemot is brother of Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.

@(Unverified) I'd cover the lawyer fees for anyone wanting to sue him even if he was my brother.

I'm pretty sure that all of Gameloft's efforts must be protected by appealing to parody and fair use.

This is not Surprising.
Gameloft Rips off everything.
The quality for their games are nice for smartphone market though.

Can't wait for Chains of Conflict 3.

I think it would be Cogs of Conflict 3.
Then there's Space Spartan 4, Alien Obstinance 3, and Off The Map 3.

Gameloft is the Google of iOS video games. Profit off of others creative works.

Trying to decipher that made my brain hurt. That whole statement makes as much sense as a birthday cake, an elephant and a saxophone.

Gameloft doesn't need licenses to make mobile versions of popular games. They just slightly change the title and it's good to go........

For once, I'd love to see a publisher call them out on their blatant ripoffs.

These guys are the scum of "game development." Can someone sue them please?

no they aren't
they may be as creative as a rock, but at least their games are fun to play

PS: and why is a game in a Wild West setting a red dead rip-off?
("Bullet" sound more like a "Gun" rip-off)

So how having a game in a wild west is all sole rockstars original idea? There were other western games. I don't get it you people go around yelling the copy everybody. Their games sound like copy cats but execution is excellent and gameplay is fun. They just cash on the idea that is popular in big console game. Oh red dead was popular so they make a similar game. Call of duty is popular so they make a shooter like that. So if you guys gonna walk around and cry about that we won't have any shooters, westerns, sandbox games, and racers cause they all going to be Cods, rdrs, gtas, and nfs...

Most the Gameloft games I've played have been fairly good. And until Rockstar decides to port Red Dead to iOS, I don't have a problem with this.

Um, yes please. It's not like we're ever going to see RDR on iOS anyway.

@That One Guy
Ah haha, nice one, but ya know if they made it even remotely close to the actual thing, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Gotta say, gameloft may be completely ripping off the success of other titles, but they are made from the ground up, they're just going with what works and what people like, and in most cases they do pretty damn good jobs at it for 100% touchscreen only titles and mobile hardware. Who knows, maybe someday they'll get so big that they start making console/PC titles that can actually compete with the games they're ripping off.

ugh as bad as it sound they actually make pretty decent games (be it knockoffs) for android i got to admit i bought a few.....

I wouldn't mind as much if the clones were any good... sure, the graphics are good and the sheer amount of stuff they can pack into the app is impressive, but the gameplay is bad, the acting is worse, and the games themselves just feel.... empty.

Meh - stuff the haters, Gameloft makes some of the best games out there, Sure, they're blatant copies of full console games, but I don't see the big players rushing to put games on my android. At this stage Gameloft has more games for sale then EA. Without them I'd be stuck with freaking Angry Birds.
