I feel it's overrated actually. There's an epic game buried underneath somewhere, but between the abysmal netcode and terrible difficulty spikes when facing Shao Kahn, I really feel they dropped the ball. It's a damn shame too, because otherwise this would be a AAA fighter, but as it stands it's only good for local multiplayer. Even playing with friends online is a chore since roughly 80% of the matches don't connect for some reason and KotH mode keeps freezing the game up.

I personally would want an HD remake w/ online co-op of Shaolin Monks. Best non-fighting game MK ever made and a damn sight better than some of the other 3D action games of the time.
