Yeah it does! I'll be picking up the $70 version because I don't have a Motion Plus yet.

Most of us don't have Motion+ remotes.

That might not be surprising.

I don't see the issue. Even if you want to get up someone's crack about double-negatives, these are two negatives applied to different parts of the sentence.

Nintendo "special editions" are never that great. I will still buy it to be able to play a game with a fix for a controller that should have had it since since day one.

Technology advances. Get over it. Its like saying u'll never play a Ps2 game cause Ps3 controllers are wireless and Ps2 controller SHOULD HAVE BEEN WIRELESS FROM THE START. Or saying there is no way u'd like to increase the amount of storage in your Pentium 386 PC because it should have had a 6tb hard-drive FROM THE START.

/sigh

@BPMOmega XBL PSN Steam i agree, it probably will cost them too much to make a bin full of gold buttons. we would end up seeing gold buttons on regular remotes to use up stock :)

Stop me from purchasing yet another piece of Nintendo hardware that I'll have zero need or desire for? Never!

I get it, it's painted Gold, and most of the Wii audience hasn't upgraded to the Wii MotionPlus. So, in order to eliminate market confusion and guarantee sales, Nintendo has turned Skyward Sword into the most expensive controller pack in for the Wii to date.

Nintendo needs to be giving me reasons to use the hardware I already own before they'll convince me to spend even more money on crap that's just going to end up in a drawer in a month.

I know the fanboys are drooling. That's what they do. Nintendo could pack in a goat turd and so long as there was a triforce insignia on it.

What would that sell for on ebay in five years, ya think?

Or, I just won't be buying it. Or Skyward Sword, for that matter... Call me old fashioned, but I believe in consumer advocacy, and I'm sort of pissed at Nintendo these days.

It gets tiring to be sold the same content again and again after 20 or so years of buying it. I can wait for Darksiders 2 for my next Zelda fix. No bullshit hardware add on required.

Besides, I've played every other Zelda game ever made. I don't think this one's going to reinvent the wheel. None of them every really have, and whatever appealed to me about the franchise in the past doesn't really do it for me anymore.

(I love that I'm being dissed for not instantly drooling over my keyboard the second Nintendo decides to try and overcharge me for a yet another single use piece of plastic. Sorry fanboys...)

Overcharge? Dood, the Wii Remote Plus is normally $40 by itself. If anything, the bundle saves you $20 if you were looking to get a Remote Plus.

Besides, it's an optional bundle. You're not forced to get the controller if you don't need it. You can still get the game by itself for the standard $50.

Um I'm pretty sure most of the Wii audience HAS upgraded to the MotionPlus, since it's built into the controllers now. The old MotionPlus dongle has likely been discontinued for this reason. Buy a new Remote, get MotionPlus tech for free.

So what happens if I attach my motionplus brick onto this gold Wiimote when I play Zelda? Does it go from 1:1 to 2:1 movement? I've got one more motionplus brick I can stick at the end of that one too.

"Um I'm pretty sure most of the Wii audience HAS upgraded to the MotionPlus, since it's built into the controllers now. The old MotionPlus dongle has likely been discontinued for this reason. Buy a new Remote, get MotionPlus tech for free. "

Really, you think all of those soccer mom's and old people even know what the MotionPlus even is? The reality is that the vast majority of Wii owners are people who buy the system, buy Mario, and then buy nothing else. Why would they care?

I haven't played a waggle game on the Wii in years. I never liked the controller, why would I want to buy another one, yet again? To play the same game I've been playing for 20 years with shitty waggle controls tacked on? I tried that with Twilight Princess and hated it.

I'll be saving myself even more money by simply not buying Nintendo products anymore. What's the point of a system that offers me maybe 3 unique gaming experience that are suited to my tastes, only to be told two years later that I need to buy another controller because the first one wasn't good enough?

No thanks. Especially after NoA dashed my hopes of playing the few Wii games I was hanging onto the system for anyway. Not for yet another franchise rehash...

I was under the impression that MotionPlus was required to play Skyward Sword, so no, I can't just get the game for $50, can I?

You know what would save me even more money? Not buying Skyward Sword at all and selling my Wii on ebay. For all the good hanging on to it has done me, I should have done it years ago.

Had a feeling this would happen but the price kinda got me by surprise but its still a motion plus controller designed in the Fashion of Zelda and it comes with a soundtrack; pretty good deal I would say with the addition of the game of course.

Don't get too frustrated. You get booed off the stage if you aren't a salivating fanboy when commenting on Joystiq, apparently.Besides, most Americans forget that only three countries in the world give a damn about baseball, which would likely be why you never saw Field of Dreams.

"What do you mean you don't recall a schlocky baseball fairytale from 1991 starring Kevin Costner?!? What's wrong with you?!?!"

A) I didn't know North America, Asia, and South America were only 3 countries combined? I really got to brush up on my geography.

B) Just because something is "American" means it sucks? Sounds like you may be a little subconsciously raciest. Soccer/futball isn't very popular over here in the States, but I have a great appreciation for the sport as a whole. Heck, my favorite sport is hockey, which is extremely popular in Eastern and Northern Europe, ever more so then in the U.S.
