Huh. DLC that sounds like it delivers a lot for the price and was announced well after release? Damn, maybe they'll do the same for Gears 3!

OH WAIT

Maybe it'll take all of the suck out of the game... On second thought, probably not. If it had a New Game + feature that'd probably save the game in my eyes despite the complete disregard for the previous games the developers had for it.

@Vladeon

I wish they wouldn't have messed up the MP.
It should have been as simple as keeping 1 character that you can use between MP and SP.

The excuse well it hurts the story is shit.
Halo 1 and 2 we had 2 master chiefs running around in coop no one cared. Borderlands you could have 4 sirens running around if you wanted, no one cared. When it comes to coop games most people are pretty forgiving about that kind of stuff so long as they can play with their friends and keep the progress whether it's story progression or just XP

@Vladeon The game does not suck in my opinion. The biggest problem with the game was length, itemization and multiplayer. The combat was fun for me. I liked my build and did a ton of damage with it towards the end. The partners I selected was well synergistic with my main (Anjali).

The story was enjoyable due to some solid characters. The linearity of the game and minimal side quests made the story pop out more but unfortunately reduced the length of the game. I hope that the DLC adds a lot more playtime but I'm skeptical because most DLC packs only add about an hour or two.

Agreed. I would have bought the game if it had decent co op.

I suppose the main problem that I had with it was that I was assuming that it would have some semblance to the first two games, whether in game play or in story or both. However, this isn't the case. It's a completely different game with a different play style, different mechanics and shares only the name of the other games. There's almost no mention of Azunai or the end of the first era. perhaps I was too blinded by nostalgia to like it, but I don't think so, after all, you saw the final boss.

Too bad it doesn't bother to fix the BIGGEST issue the game has. And that's sucking in general. The Co-op desperately needs an overhaul, the gameplay in general could use a little more spice (based on what I've managed to force myself to play through).

Though honestly, if they bothered to at least fix the Co-op, everything else wrong with the game could easily be ignored...

I actually like Dungeon Siege III; it's somewhat similar to BG: DA and CoN.

Except in where it matters- the co-op.

BG:DA was alright but I honestly feel a little insulted at the Baldur's Gate title, since it really didn't have anything that made the original Baldur's Gate a great series.

Yeah, it was a nice game, but I also felt like it had absolutely nothing to do with Baldur's Gate at all :(

I like the idea of a talent respec option but I honestly should not have to pay for it. In games where a "talent system" is a key point of the character customisation then a the ability to reallocate my points should come by default.

Some people like to fiddle around with different talent sets but don't necessarily want to repeatedly restart the game to do so. Others merely want a change of pace. It seems like such an obvious feature to have included on release.

Apart from this, Dungeon Siege III didn't really "wow" me at all. There's no real incentive for me to play, even the fact I paid for it doesn't make me want to play it. The game is one of few that simply bores me the moment I try and play it, simply because I could play an older action rpg that has more weight in it's gameplay and storyline than DS3 does at all.

why do they take so long? I understand it takes time to make this stuff but I doubt that game is like Oblivion meaning you could wait 3 months after Oblivion came out and then release DLC and it would get bought because people were still playing it.

Eh. Maybe on a slow week. Although, there isn't a slow week between now and like March next year, so this is going to be waiting for some time to get a look in, if at all.

I loved dungeon siege 2 and was so pumped for this, not exaggerating I played this for less than an hour and brought it back...not even close to being fun and is so different than the second game that not even nostalgia could keep me tethered.
