Red Dead Redemption's free 'Myths and Mavericks' DLC rides Sept. 13

Saddle up your horses, load up your guns, and grease that completely ridiculous mustache: Red Dead Redemption's next, totally free DLC pack is coming in a little under two weeks. The previously announced "Myths and Mavericks" expansion will hit the PSN and XBLM on September 13, adding a whole slew of new multiplayer maps, modes and characters. Check out a full list of the newcomers after the jump.

We're not sure how much of the original Red Dead community has stuck around to indulge in these new offerings, but if there's anything that can bring errant sheep back into the fold, it's the glorious, waxy soupcatcher of Landon Ricketts, pictured above. Oh, to be a fly on that mustache.

Awww yeah more Red Dead!

Dam I shouldn't have sold my red dead but i had beaten it twice and bought undead nightmares on disc any one know if i could still get these goodies?

very good question. i doubt it though. I bought my Undead Nightmare on the Rockstar sale couple weeks ago. Lucky i keep games i love.

Where's the PC version? I don't give a skunk about LA Noire, the only thing recommending it being the facial animation you can see in the trailers.

I wish it was more Story DLC.

Last time I gave the multiplayer a spin it seemed a little unstable. Perhaps with the extra influx of players with this DLC I'll be able to enjoy A couple games.

Rockstar always know how to release dlc even their season pass is done well compared to other studio.

The most recent LIVE activity update on Major Nelson's blog (posted the 10th, he's slacking!) shows RDR at #13. Granted, that also takes single-player into consideration, but that still seems strong enough to warrant some multiplayer activity. Maybe it's your NAT?

Love this game and love Rockstar for continuing to give us reasons to be loyal customers.

i dont know if i suck or everyone else that plays is good in red dead but i always get demolished

I gotta be honest here, I love Red Dead campaign, but I hate the multiplayer (except co-op). Maybe because on the beginning (lower level) you have to shoot ten times to kill someone and they can kill you with one or two shots. That really put me off on multiplayer.

On the other hand, the campaign was great, I enjoyed every single thing, even hunting rabbits and collecting flowers. Hope they make a sequel.

Once the dust settles it will be easy to put RDR in the top 5 best games of this gen across any platform.

I wish I could play as The Stranger.

no one whines about the DLC that is free.......

El Presidio is the most awesome fort in the whole game! Can't wait for that map.

Also, I really wish RockStar would make RDR2, I mean, the game was so successful and if they just came back with a new Campaign and a bigger Free Roam Multiplayer mode with more everything and player gangs and hideouts, it would be insanely popular.

Would of preferred Single player DLC, but free is free.

This is a lame way to finish the Red Dead DLC. If I had my way I'd add a Undead Nightmare free-roam multi-player and dual wielding revolvers prize for clearing out specific zombie gang hideouts. Go out with a bang, not a whimper!

Sweet I just bought Red Dead yesterday for 20 bucks! I actually bought all the DLC before owning the game.

Great to see the game is still supported almost 1.5 years of release.

awsome, i have outlaws to the end, legends & kilers, liars & cheaters, undead nightmare, deadly assasin, warhorse & golden guns, got %100 on single player & undead nightmare, got zebra donkey & i still play it online with my cousin, i've got to say from all the games i bought, red dead redemption is the one im most satisfied with, really got my money's worth & maybe even more!
