Persona 2: Innocent Sin graduates to PSP Sept. 20
24
The PSP just got more personal -- Persona 2: Innocent Sin has an official release date of September 20 in North America, and it is available for pre-order, for $40, right now. Pre-orders from Gamestop and Amazon will get a free 10-track CD featuring original, remixed and arranged songs from Shoji Meguro, who composed Persona 3 and 4, and more recently, Catherine.
Atlus also released a new trailer for Innocent Sin, which can provide you an atomic series-nostalgia-bomb above.

That's the stupidest name for a video game I think I've ever heard of. Innocent Sin? Why not just call it "Evil Good."

The original Japanese subtitle was: 罪 ("tsumi", sin)
The second part's subtitle was: 罰 ("batsu", punishment)
I'm sure it's meant as an allusion to the Bible. The other Persona 2 was released with the subtitle Eternal Punishment. Think about the Garden of Eden story. A sin can be committed with the most innocent of intentions.

I'd say Original Sin was an example of an Innocent Sin in action. Adam and Eve had no knowledge of good and evil, so they could not have known what they were doing was bad.
Likewise, small children often have no idea what they are doing, and that it's wrong.

As we get closer to the Vita, it'd be wonderful to start getting PSN coupons with physical copies. It'll never happen, but a man can dream.

Your physical copy of the English language Persona 2 may be becoming senile in its old age (it happens). This isn't the same game. Think of this as the original Persona 2 and your copy as Persona II-2. Eternal Punishment is a direct sequel of this release, which has never seen any official translation until now.

I'll be getting this on day one! I've been waiting for this game for a long time now, and it'll be awesome to complete the Persona Portable trilogy (that's what I'm calling it). Seeing as how I'll probably never be getting a Vita, that's probably going to stay that way. I'm just glad that there's a couple more games for the PSP on the way before the system hangs up its gloves for good.

PSP surprised me. It was pitched as the go-to console for portable action games in 3d, but really, what it became was the go-to console for portable RPGs.

@mrantimatter You aren't kidding! Being a huge fan of JRPGs myself, the PSP has really become one all time favorite systems because of the fact that there's just a surprisingly large library of those games on it. Heck, with this, Fate/Extra, Black Rock Shooter, and (maybe) Final Fantasy Type-0 on the way, the PSP is going to go down as perhaps the only system to rival the PS2 in the number of JRPGs on it.
