@killias2

Try praying to Odin or The Flying Spaghetti Monster because Zeus probably wants absolutely nothing to do with any system Kratos is involved with.

Well, Treasure's been the one porting most of their Saturn library up to this point, and they've still got Silhouette Mirage to go. Presumably, if they do it, it won't be as balls-to-the-wall hard as the US PS1 version was, as well.

This is a no brainer to anyone who owns an Xbox especially at 10$. I can't wait I also agree SEGA should bring more sega saturn and dreamcast titles to XBL with online functionality.

I spent all weekend playing the demo over and over and over and over! Feels like my Game of the Year!

If you've got a mexican gamertag (or are willing to make one) you can grab the demo here.

I actually had this on Saturn. I initially liked it but got tired of how button mashy and random it felt. I can barely remember anything about it, but I seem to remember about a million characters who you could play as (basically you can be any character that appears in the game) and massive beam attacks. Amazing how much I've forgotten, feels like it wasn't even me.

I still have this for my creaky, old Sega Saturn. It's one of the better games that was released for the system and I recommend it to anyone interested. The best way I can describe is a sort-of prototype to Castle Crashers. It's a sidescrolling hack-n-slash where you can have up to six players (at least in the Saturn version) tear through a bunch of levels filled with baddies.

You level up and when you reach the end of a stage, you can then allocate skill points to different stats. Also, there are multiple paths you can take per stage, giving the game a lot of replayability.

One gripe I have with the game is that there's only one really good character and that's the blonde swordsman (I can't remember his name right now). Another is that you can't freely roam to and from the foreground and background. In order to do this, you had to hit the shoulder buttons. Hopefully they fixed this for the Xbox version. Other than that, it's an outstanding little game that I think is worth $15 or however much they're charging for it.

Sorry for the long post. I'll understand if it's TL;DR

@FinalFantasyXIIIsucks actually, you could only play with 6 players in the versus mode.. when you played the story mode, it was a 2 player game (with an a.i. controlled ally for your third teammate).

there was a total of 30 stages in the game, but you could only access 10 in one play through.. so yeah it had a ton of replayability. as for the walking in between planes though, although its a bit odd.. i didnt mind it because that design decision made the combat a lot more versatile. its hard to add in quarter circle inputs when your character can walk in 8 directions.

as for Han being the only good character in the game.. yeah.. im baffled by that one. he had the most strength, but his combos were pretty limited, and he had no magic whatsoever. ginjirou was the best character to me (the ninja with the purple hair) due to his speed. his combos were by far the best, and he had some pretty cool magic. randy (the kid with the staff) was fairly weak, but he had some nice combos and boasted the best magic by far. nicole was garbage lol... she was great for healing, but so weak that it wasnt fun to play as her.

after you beat the game though, you unlocked serena, who was somewhere in between han and ginjirou. she didnt have that great of a selection of magic and her combos were so-so, but she had some pretty powerful attacks. i also liked how everyone (save for randy) had an emphasis on a particular kind of magic. han pretty much only had fireballs, but ginjirou did electricity, serena did ice, and nicole was the healer.

the only thing i liked about han was when you played the game and went through a particular path where you faced a second undead hero and you got another sword that instantly caught enemies on fire when hit.

my only gripes really would be that you cant start a new game with your character leveled up and even though friendly fire was off.. if you burned, electrocuted, or froze an enemy and they collided with your allies.. they would also be burned, frozen, or electrocuted. besides that, it was a perfect game for the genre its in (and no, this isnt just nostalgia glasses here... i play that game at least once a year).

This is, by far, my favorite Sega Saturn game. I still bust out the old Saturn every once in a while to show this game off to friends who never really care to see it... Now that it has been repackaged in a tasty XBLA package, hopefully I can persuade a few gamertags on my list to buy and play it with me... I've only played the main story once with co-op when the game came out... :'( but this will solve that problem right up!

Same here. HAS to be played with 2 player style, so I end up making people play it. Most of the peeps that got down with me are looking forward
to the Xbox release now :)
