I love how political loyalists (or should I say total tools) will look at anything and say "OH THERE GOES THAT (OPPOSING PARTY) AGENDA AGAIN"

That's not being a loyalist. Both parties are horribly predictable one trick ponies.

The point I was trying to illustrate (as I'm sure you're aware really) is that pawns of both major parties are quick to draw something out of nothing and assault it for its so-called political slant. Perhaps that's not one's loyalism coming into play, but rather, their unsettling disdain toward anything that could possibly disagree with their stubborn, narrow-minded ideologies.

Forgive me if I sound like Noobie McBoobie.

There will never be a "cure" for HIV and Cancer.

Why? Because that would destroy a multi-million dollar continuous market.

BTW: Cures for both are already showing up in China.

The money is in the treatment of symptoms not curing disease. If those diseases could easily be cured big pharma would be losing out on lifetime clients. I wouldn't be shocked to know that there is already a cure for most every disease that never sees the light of day.

Nope. Cancer can't be cured because it's not a disease, and HIV works in such a way that a potential vaccine would still be lethal.

@Richard C Mongler PhD Yeah, and no computer will ever need more than 640kb of memory. Short sighted people shouldn't be allowed to pro-create. The worst thing you can think as a human is "not possible", time has proven over and over again that there is little that is not possible.

Might want to tell these guys Cancer is not curable.

"Because if we use nuclear power we will all glow green at night. Nuclear power is the safest source out there, you know."

I bet the people in Japan would beg to differ, you nutjob.

Down with evil, renewable resources that rob the energy and oil company of billions upon billions of profits. That is what your government wants. We must stand with Exxon and not let their billions of dollars be threatened for the good of America, mankind and every other living thing on this planet.

What is mankind anyway? I think we need to break it into its roots...'mank' and 'ind'. But what are those two things? And that, my friends, is the problem with this video game. It never explains what 'mank' and 'ind' are.

Irony: the clip calls out gamemakers for fear mongering when the segment itself preys upon the fear of adults thinking that videogames are brainwashing/corrupting their children.

The cost of the green power plants in Sim City games is also more expensive per watt than nuclear or coal. So players have to trade-off and it's an accurate representation. Just build coal in the industrial section where no one gives a shit about pollution.

The Onion still presents more facts than MSNBC, CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, NPR, or the BBC. Sure, Fox has plenty of idealogues and has its share of dumb news pieces (like this one), but I still prefer it over the same, one-sided cr@p the other networks come up with.

The BBC certainly can be one-sided. Although they are alot more reserved in doing it. Which perhaps makes it even more dangerous.

For example BBC headlines over the last few weeks paint Gaddafi as if hes been a burden his entire reign but forget to mention that hes insured Education for his people and prevented them from being exploited by the west for their Oil. (Why else do you think the politicians are so hostile against them).

Now dont get me wrong, Hes bad and personally should be shot, but a side still remains untold.

Then theres the NI story. Theyre reported as NI Riots but the England Riots are UK Riots (They did eventually change this, but why was it reported like that in the first place)

And also dont forget during the troubles the BBC was an incredibly hostile and sectarian place to work, and thats coming from several English reporters who said they were shocked at the discrimination.

Several soldiers have also given talks about how ill-informed they were about NI Troubles and our the story's weren't correctly reported.

The BBC is good at reporting Local news relatively fairly but i wouldnt trust them with foreign affairs.

Basically dont ever rely on the professional media to tell the truth.

@343 Guilty Fart

I laughed at that part. :)
He was so blown away that children should be exposed to the word "Slaughter"!
Don't they still have places called slaughterhouses? Or are they "livestock processing facilities" now?
I'm pretty sure this guy would take his kids out of school for a month rather than have them read and discuss Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse Five".
How funny would it be if he used to be into late 80's hair-metal rock, but he just couldn't bring himself to admit he ever liked the band "Slaughter", even if all his friends did?
Next he'll be going on some lame "talk-show" all hot and bothered that children can google the word "slaughter", and even look it up in a dictionary!
