id Software just released the source codes for iOS titles Wolfenstein 3D Platinum and Doom Classic in the newest batch of updates (2.1). If you're into it, grab the source code for Wolfenstein 3D Platinum right here, the source code for Doom Classic right here, and the trailer for the 2011 sci-fi thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Source Code, here.
If you don't care how your games work, so long as they just work, update 2.1 features a revised user interface, remastered HUD, improved framerate for Wolfenstein and the removal of multilayer, which id will integrate later in a "more robust fashion."

Agreed as well. I think if they just ended it a few minutes earlier than they had it would have been perfect.

Moon is definitely the stronger of the two, but source code was pretty solid as well.

If you can find a high-res image of it you can have it printed, but that's probably gonna cost a lot.

yeah, i took a look around for just a poster of it to try to get one on the cheap, to no avail. i did find a HUGE version of the Doom one WITHOUT the Bethesda logo (link below), but haven't found a Wolfenstein one yet...
btw, i haven't checked the whole picture for watermarks, so if anyone sees one, please identify where it is on the pic.

Um, framing isn't exactly cheap and if you're framing something, I hope it's not something from your inkjet printer. No offense.

I'd totally be into a good port for a portable with physical input, yeah.
Especially if they bundle all the Doom games into one package, like they did on PCs back in, say, 2005 or so. Ultimate Doom, Doom 2 and Final Doom for $15? Yes please.
And ESPECIALLY if custom levels et al are supported. Nintendo would probably blow a gasket over that, though. Not sure about Sony.

Yeah, I tried playing the iPhone version but couldn't go more than 5 minutes without wanting to throw my phone out the window because of the infuriating touch controls

So, are these also compilable for use on the PC, or are these
the source codes just for use on Apple products?
