So much Skyrim-ing! Lap up part one above and circle around past the break for the rest of the 20-minute experience with Game Director/Executive Producer Todd Howard. What's that? Dragons? Hmm, not sure if it has those. Guess you'll have to watch. (P.S.: Don't be stupid. It's got all the dragons.)
Come, watch 20 minutes of Skyrim gameplay

This looks pretty good, but I'm eager to see how much nicer it looks on PC. The difference between the different versions of Oblivion was pretty shocking, and I did notice a lot of foliage popping in as the character moved.

Skyrim-ing sounds like something people do as part of the mile high club. Just saying...
I cannot wait to play this. So much of my gaming will be devoted to this it's not even mildly amusing. Next year those of us that partake of the Skyrim joy will be diagnosed with Skyrim Addiction Disorder. Mark. My. Words.

Oh boy! the SAME GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE WE'VE SEEN 50 TIMES.
If any gaming news sites try to hype the game with the footage of the guy dicking around with his sword while the fox runs by again I'm not even going to buy the game. "Guys look! Skyrim gameplay!" really needs an asterisk explaining "The same gameplay you've already seen btw fyi" or something.

@PedoJokerBear I don't understand how "Some people haven't seen it!!!!!" justifies "Hey guys, here's thes ame footage, AGAIN, MONTHS AFTER THE FACT, that we've ALREADY posted, without any mention that it's thes ame footage, as if it's new and deserving another article".

I think you answered your own question. People not seeing something the first, second, third, or fourth time is a perfect reason to post it again... So that uhhh... They see it the fifth time? If you have seen it before, by the time you realize it, just stop the video. No need to get butthurt over it.

The 30 minute "bootleg" video that Joystiq originally posted from E3 was pulled off line within hours & hounded out of existence with each new upload online. Because of that, many people didn't see it originally. Back when Joystiq posted the first article, I didn't notice it until the video was already down, myself and that was just later the same day.
Bethesda OFFICIALLY released these videos today. That's why it's news.
As for the "why keep showing the same videos" rant people like to get on. They can't market only to their most active customer base, who see every scrap of information as soon as it is even mentioned in public. They need to assume that most people out there that are not seeing everything as soon as it goes up & try to reach those people. Which is why in their interviews, it's always the same info & screens/ videos. Each interview or article is reaching a different audience, many of whom might be seeing it or getting the info for the first time.
This is all new to many people.

Is there anything that wouldn't get you excited?
Calm down. You're the only one who seems to be taking issue with this.
As someone who comes to this site almost daily, this post was a joy to see. The first and last segments of gameplay were the only ones I had seen, already, so the dungeon crawling bits were that much more entertaining.

@kentuckyfried While it certainly is my most anticipated game by far, I wouldn't want to sleep until 11/11 because I'm currently finishing up Deus Ex, have God of War Origins tomorrow, Gears of War 3 next week, Arkham City, BF3 and many others I'm anxiously awaiting.

Such an awesome game, except for the jaggies. Oh are the jaggies killing me =(. Yes I know it's on the 360, so I'm not that worried about it. Instead, I'm surprised they were able to make it look so well on the consoles, so that's fantastic!

This may be the same footage they showed at E3, but I don't mind watching it another 100 times.

I wanna get this on PC rather than 360 but I'm afraid of what the system requirements will be.
Posted: Sep 13th 2011 8:45AM Ebok007 said
@DarkNightRJ
Based on the fact that they are doing their best to have the console and PC versions look just as good as each other, I am going to assume the engine has been pretty streamlined (plus their games can usually run on a wide range of systems). Supposedly they are releasing the requirements at the start of October.
And you could also be crazy and do what I'm planning: buy copies for multiple platforms.

Amazing looking game. It looks like they modeled each individual blade of grass.
However, gameplay always trumps graphics, and the combat still looks clunky and not very fun.

I can't wait for this game but I will wait for the "final" GOTY version. I have 3 versions of Oblivion (Regular(PC), GOTY (PC,Xbox)). I have very little time to play games anyhow. So I can wait and maybe in another year, I will have a PC good enough to play the game.

So did they say this was 360 footage? Because it looks...extremely PC to me. With the scrolling through everything and the little pointer. I mean. I'm pretty positive this IS the PC version being shown here.
