EA sports has quite a habit of putting out shoddy PC versions, but now they're actually admitting that and passing out reparations? Why bother releasing such a crock in the first place..

@Haggard

I would wager because some suit who knows nothing about games was told the game was horrible. Then ignored that and decided in their infinite business school wisdom that it must be released to make "teh moneyz"

Now that its in refund territory that same suit is probably diligently sacking the very same people who told them the game wasn't ready because the game wasn't ready. Later this year they will get a fat bonus and three new company cars........

ALL the EA Sports games are garbage, they did us a favor by not making more john madden games, why they don“t just leave that market to somebody that is really willing to give the real quality that a p.c. game deserves???

EA can't help but be EA. I thought with all their Origin crap that they would at least make proper PC versions of games but apparently that is too much to ask...

The day EA Sports does something like this for Madden is the day I start paying attention to them again. (Of course they won't cuz Madden sells like hot cakes each year regardless of how good/bad the game is).

Do companies just not give a crap about PC releases anymore?

As much as it blows that EA stopped making any more NHL games for PC, things like this remind me of WHY that is.

It could be that they lost faith in the franchise's ability to make money since the scandal and Tiger's poor performance. Watch next year's superior game be called "PGA tour and the masters 2013"

You mean Tiger's club has gone limp? Or that his mighty stroke has no follow-through?

He can't get his balls into the holes too.

....PENIS!

Yes, and they're a pile of fun, unless it's a shitty PC version. The console versions are awesome.

Definitely, I very much enjoy my PGA Tour 08 on the 360....Wish there was a golf game worth a damn on the PC with controller enabled, I'd snap it up in a second.

WOW! EA Sports finally admitting failure on a poorly built product, congrats to EA for at least stepping up and excepting failure on this one, maybe it's a sign of change. Nope, I doubt that too expect more of the same on next years releases.

@ericosu Unfortunately if EA really did own up to their mistakes on releasing poorly built products, they'd be out of business.

Hey! Let's apologize and give people refunds for the shoddy program... that we created shoddily... on purpose.

Jesus.

I guess it's easier to have a few angry people getting refunds than it is to just put out a complete game these days, hey?

Its pretty rare that the Wii version outshines other versions of a game on different platforms.

The Wii version had all the DLC as part of the retail product.
Plus the swing controls are way more fun then clicking buttons.
