"and that the title will be exclusive to an upcoming LG smartphone (Hit 2), but only for the first three months (KO!)."

Challenge Accepted. I'll get this phone working on my phone a bit soon after. =)

*sigh*

You know, this is one of the few things I DON'T like about Android's openness. Games exclusive to stores and phones can suck it.

Luckily we have the fine folks on XDA forums. I'm sure they'll find a way to get this on every Android phone.

@NaeemTHM That's why companies are slow to put things on Android, they don't like the lack of solid control over their product once its released into the wild.

Free OS does mean there the choices will be totally free. Everything has a price and cost.

So tired of exclusivity, most of the hardware is so homogenous these days that it no longer matters.....

You want more people to buy your phones so what do you do, you pay off a developer to make sure your phone gets the game exclusively for the first three months ........ instead of I dunno, making a better phone.

@Scuffles

Completely wrong. Android hardware is all over the map as far as specs go.

I'll stick with my 3DS copy, even though I'm sure my phone will probably be able to run this well. If it's just the iPhone version, then it won't be full-featured.

This is dumb... It's like pointless and impossible to really play any SF game on a phone, especially with no buttons or d-pad at the very least... They should have concentrated on getting it on the PSP... I'm sure they could have ported it somehow over to it... Though I'm sure they didn't because the PSP2 will be out soon (I will NEVER call it the V name for it because that's just the stupidest name besides the Wii) at least they'll be bringing MvsC3 for it and I'm sure there will be SSF4AE as well eventually...

Many people can play Street Fighter without buttons, your comment is invalid.

@xxZOMBIExx it takes 2 min to get used to the controls, do you not have the attention span for it? the game is amazing with a large player base who disagree strongly with you.

see this is how you know ignorance. have you played SSF4 on iOS because its prob the best fighter on the platform, a big part is how tight the controls are, even on a touch screen. Wish i could say the same for King of Fighters.

I'm actually better at Street Fighter using touch screen than I am with a console controller.

Clearly coming from a jaded Android user who has never touched SSFIV Volt (or SSFIV). It plays wonderfully, and is actually on par to it's console brethren, all things considered. Try it before you bash it - then you won't look like such a tool.

The world needs more shitty, unplayable versions of Street Fighter that people buy and then don't play. Or as my friend does, bashes the 'buttons' like a monkey that's been trained to touch a certain part of a screen in order to get a treat. I sometimes think the iPhone version is actually a QTE mock-up of Street Fighter IV and no one has noticed.

@Dick Socrates What crawled up your ass and died, So-Crates?

iPhone SFIV is a great port. They simplify a lot of things for easier play (like one tap for ultra combo) since the controls were slimmed down to 4 buttons to accommodate the screen space, but it plays just fine. I play it on my iPhone all the time.

@Dick Socrates Just because you and your "friend" are bad at touchscreen street fighter in no way means the everyone is.

I main Abel on iphone and ps3 and outside of a few shorthand changes he plays the same on either and I can free hand the same combos on either.

Also why are you so cranky? Every post I see from you is bitching and moaning about something.

If this is a port of the ios version (which it most likely is), DO NOT WANT. Only thing this would work on is the Xperia play, bluetooth gamepads, and whatever phones have keypads + gamepadder.

Yeah yeah! So happy to hear this. I have been waiting for this since I ditched my itouch + flip phone combo for a DROID x. Street fighter to rocks in all shapes and sizes, whether it table top (heroclix) console or potable. Now we just need a pen and paper d20 version

The iOS version is pretty weak. The frame rate is atrocious and it's ugly too, - blurry 2d backgrounds with crudely rendered sprite characters.

The recent King of Fighers iOS game is much better. (but still not brilliant)

I wish these Android developers would quit making games phone specific, and make them universal to all Android phones.

I upgraded my OG Droid to a Droid Bionic, last week - the HD games selection seems a bit lackluster at the moment. SF4 would be awesome because I could play on my HDTV, and a proper game controller with the HD media dock.

I suppose it would really suck if it was the 3d version of SFIV coming out on LG new glassesless 3D phone... But they wouldn't do something that silly, would they....

I have SNES and PS1 emulators on my Xperia Play and the d pad and buttons arent very comfortable for Street Fighter. Touch Screen would be abysmal.
