PS3 it is then. I will somehow find a way to enjoy this game on a 60inch tv instead of a pc monitor.... somehow.

@Colorfuljosh My tv is one of those older first gen sony wega lcd.. no hdmi but does actually have a dvi on the back that I can hook up my pc to. I had so many problems back in the day making the resolution work in game that I gave up, but it has been like 5 years now, perhaps I should get motivated and try it again.

@tk421242 Personally I preordered it on OnLive, got a free game when i did to. So I got Space Marine and Batman Arkham City for 35$! I am not sure if the release date for OnLive will be affected by this or not since its a different build.

@tk421242 Alright well... Enjoy stretching 720p over your bad-ass 60" TV's native 1080p resolution instead of just being smart and waiting for full 1080p awesomeness on a superior machine. (Assuming you have a rig that is worthy of gaming here.)

Just wait for it. October has PLENTY coming out, after all. Play everything else until the PC version comes out.

I mean...SERIOUSLY. It's BATTLEFIELD 3 MONTH. I won't have time to play Batman Arkham City until AT LEAST December! Just in time for Christmas! LOL!

Honestly, I think that's what they want. Postpone the PC version enough and many will just buy the console version. Somewhere in there it's supposed to be less piracy.

GRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT....................................................................................once again.....WE are treated like a second hand platform, and let me guess this is to add 300 DRM triggers only to delay the crack two more days, even though we know that the XBox and PS3 versions are going to be available for the pirates two weeks before the release day, just like it happened with gear of war 2 and SSFIV........ thank you.

@Hunter141072 Assuming you are complaining about the delay meaning the PC is getting second-hand treatment (I had a hard time understanding your post), I'm hear to tell you you've got it backwards.

Rocksteady rocks when it comes to PC development and has already announced they are supporting both 3D Vision, high res textures, and PhysX on the PC version. This isn't just a console port, the PC version is going to be the definitive version of the game without contest.

I'll wait an extra month for that.

Well, judging for the up vote i guess most understood my post :D and even though it´s true that the p.c. version is going to be the best no doubt about it, i find completely stupid to delay the game just for some technical stuff which i´m sure it´s already added. the problem with this is that p.c. sales could be affected for this, many people who have a pc and a console are not going to wait, and once they buy it for the console why they are going to pay more for the same game??? and i´m sure this has to do more with stupid protections than anything else, of course they won´t said so, that´s logical.

However actually figuring out that it was an anti-piracy technique took a fair bit more time than looking at something, saying "This has a DRM", and cracking it.

I'd say Confusing Pirates Temporarily is a much better goal than Screwing Pirates and Consumers Both, Yet Pirates Only Temporarily Still.

How about, this time around, Catwoman is unable to climb buildings, and is modeled without the cat ears or breasts, yet still has the tight suit. Oh and a beard.

BAM. Instant purchase, to get the hell away from that.

Its almost guaranteed that its due to piracy,if people want to have it when it comes out they will actually either have to buy it on console or wait until the PC version is released then cracked. With the patients that alot of gamers have im sure they will make a few more sales that they would not have gotten if they had released the PC version alongside the console.

@SgtDookie

It might be due to anti-piracy measures, or their current PC build is experiencing some game breaking bugs that have yet to be resolved. I'd rather wait the additional month to get the definitive version of the game and be able to play it without issue than having it in my hands on the same day as the console ports only to have it crash at startup or to have the DX11 implementation (a key selling point with the PC version) be completely borked.

Unfortunate.

Part of me wants all versions to be delayed in kind to show solidarity for our PC brethren, but the fact is, if I don't get the game in October, I'm not getting until next year.

This oddly works in my favor...other than the obvious additions of more stringent DRM.

I was lamenting that I was going to be out of town the week this came out, but it seems likely now that I will be in town.

Still, it's too bad when such an announcement without explanation automatically assumes DRM...so sad.

Thanks again gaming industry, for screwing PC gamers. There were two games worth buying in oct (Rage, Batman) and tons in Nov (Saints Row, Skyrim, nobody really believes AC:R will come as the article says, Call of Duty) so what, delay it so that you lose all those sales as we all buy Skyrim instead? out freaking standing, games industry.

Well, pre-order cancelled. I will buy it. Next year. On Steam. When it is on sale for a significant discount. Backlog is STILL too big, and there are other great games coming out before the end of the year that do not have DRM that I can wait on this.

I was going yo buy Batman AA for the PC after trying out the demo, but then I noticed that it required Games for Windows Live... Long story short, I bought AA for the PS3 when I bought a PS3 last November.

If the PC version of Batman: AC will also include that crappy DRM, then I'll get the PS3 version again... when it goes under $30... I mean, I just finished Demon's Souls and I'm going through the first Uncharted. There's too much on my plate right now to consider spending $60 bucks for a game I know I can get cheaper next year.
