Yea, we got Wii Fit as a present. After the first few uses, it never came out from under the couch.

I saw it the other day and was like, "oh yea, I forgot we had that."

@Co I'd imagine you're the fatass if you rely on a Wii game for your exercise.

@Co Haha.

The game just wasn't fun or worthwhile, I thought. Maybe I'll give it another try.

I'll stick with running for exercise.

Nintendo pretty much died to me after the Nintendo 64. Such an epic system with memorable, quality games. Revolutionary, even. Now you have the Wii which has a controller that looks like a DVD remote, tiny "1" and "2" buttons. And then you have this, Wii Fit. Ugh. Nintendo you could have owned the market. They should just re-release the N64 with HDMI hookup. HD graphics, new RISC processor, wireless controllers with built in rumble paks, 1 terabyte built-in SSD, keep flash memory carts(that can now hold gigabytes of data) so we have no load times, and have an built in wireless adapter to connect to Hyrule Network(Nintendos theoretical versiong of the Playstation Network or XBOX Live). Keep the system name "Nintendo 64", keep the form factor, offer multiple colors again like Jungle Green, and keep the "Get N or get out" commercials. Que Christmas happiness! Imagine Dead Space 2 with no load times with the same or better graphics on a Nintendo 64!

I know. I was being optimistic. Maybe something smaller, because the carts themselves can save the games. Something smaller but definitely solid state. I would buy that system in a heartbeat.

Yeah yeah we get it already; you get hard for the N64. Honestly, it really was a good console, but you can't just shun future advances Nintendo has made with new consoles. Some new games are incredible remakes of n64 games, some games surpass n64 games in quality. It's really stupid to worship the damn thing.

All I'm saying is that we should go back to what was working....carts. No load times, durable, and now that hold just as much as dvd or blu ray, not that you would need all 50gigs for the game. I pop in a cart and its instantly on. I pop in a PS3 or XBOX game, pray i don't have to do system update, and wait for it to load, then deal with load screens. Nintendo should have improved on the 64 instead of giving us the Wii. They succumbed to discs with the GameCube trying to be like everyone else. Don't get me wrong I love my PS3 but dang nothing replaces the N64...ever. Except well maybe a true successor....maybe.

How is it "asinine"? Is this not a forum to talk about our likes and dislikes in games and game systems? I'm stating the obvious anyway. Downloadable content has become the norm. Solid state media has proven its superiority to spinning platters and discs. All I'm saying is Nintendo had it right to begin with and should have just improved the graphical prowess. No one gives a crap about Wii Fit honestly, but you I doubt you'll find a ton of people that didn't thoroughly enjoy the 64 because of the speed, simplicity, and gameplay.

Your spiel is getting a bit old mate. Not that I don't appreciate the enthusiasm for the Nintendo 64, but you're just so wrong.

Solid state media is too expensive. Yes, it's cheaper today than the ROM carts of the past, but you aren't factoring in the development costs of games. Dead Space 2 on an 8GB+ cartridge would cost $100+ at retail. The publishers would be shelling out $30-40 on the media instead of the $.10 plus license they are today.

I love my N64 like nobody's business, but we've advanced to a point where I'm happy to leave it where it is. The GameCube is just as good if not better anyways.

Cruzer micro 8gb flash drive, amazon, 6 bucks. It would not be the 100+bucks you speak of. I would gladly pay the extra 6 bucks for durabilty and no load times. Average size of most XBOX games are averaging 8gb. I'm not just talking about the N64, it was just the last console to get it right, so that's why I'm using it as an example.

$6 for a USB flash drive, okay.

So $20 minimum for proprietary, copy-protected media with the license fees. Add the two plus years of development, marketing, and distribution costs, and you're looking at an $80 to $100 game, or more, still.

After they got me with the 3-DS, I will no longer buy anything Nintendo. They milk you with peripherals to no end. The only reason I'm holding onto my 3DS is because I'm hoping Gamestop has a trade-in deal when the Vita drops.

Nintendo doesn't want everybody to know that their focus is on casuals and parents with near-unlimited spending to keep their children subdued while they go about their adult lives.

The Nintendo store in Rockerfeller plaza in NYC used to be the Pokemon center or Pokemon World. Now lets be honest, Kids don't have the income, the parents do. The kids want it, the Parents pay for it. Nintendo is focusing on that dollar. the Nintendo fanboy is not it's focus. Stop letting Reggie LIE to y'all. It's over.

The Nintendo fanboy is a dying breed... I should know, I used to be one.

That's very cheap. Even if the balance board will rarely be used. I know mine is only used by the mrs to keep up with her weight loss after becoming a mom for the second time

As a weight tracker it is very useful. Not very useful besides that.

Because I'm sure there are a few million people out there that would have bought Wii Fit, if only it had been released in black.

Nintendo is perfecting the art of trying to catch trains that left years ago.
