Not bad enough to get shipped off to Arkham City, anyways.

Wait...what are we talking about again?

They got everything so right in the first game (I know some didn't like the final battle) that I don't have any doubt in my mind that they will be able to do it again and more.

This looks fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.

No open-world game has managed to pull off being tense and claustrophobic, but I think these guys could actually do it.

The claustrophobia actually gave off a legitimately frightening feeling. Those moments in decrepit caves and hearing the muttering of The Joker is a bit scary.

I never completed Arkham Asylum because of this one boss (I think it was right at the end) where you fought a mutated guy and a huge horde of henchmen. I sold it because I couldn't do it, but I had fun with the rest of the game. Anyone know if the scarecrow returns in Arkham City?

They said we could expect all the obvious villians, so there is quite a challenge. Nothing has been confirmed, though.

And he was one of the villains in the teaser for a sequel at the end of the credits. (it's different every time you beat it, it was either Bane, Scarecrow, or Killer Croc. You see the Titan case floating in the water and an arm of a villain reach up from the water and grab it)

I wish I made more money. As epic as I think this game is gonna be, there are just too many other games(Gears3, BF3, Skyrim, etc.) that I'm looking forward to playing.

@Squawk just money ain't enough. we're gonna need time as well. even if i could buy all of the games that i want, sadly i don't think i have sufficient time to enjoy them.
time is money anyway.

I still think they should have gone with the Anne Hathaway Catwoman with 4-inch heels.

I mean, I don't know about you guys but when I think Cat burglar I think 4 inch heels

Makes total sense, especially for cartwheeling over those detestable lasers and leaping from great heights.

Sad that she, of all things, is my biggest worry for the third movie...

If it was up to me these guys would do the next Spiderman, Superman, Green Lantern and Daredevil games. I don't care about contracts or licensing fees. Just hire these guys and let them go to work.

Sorry, I wasn't especially clear: 3D Fighting game = Soul Calibur, Tekken, etc. As opposed to a 2D fighter, like Street Fighter, MK, or MvC.

No, because DC vs MK is a TWO DIMENSIONAL fighting game. The fighting takes place entirely in the vertical and horizontal planes, and is based on the MK engine.

A fighting game based on the Arkham engine would have to be 3D, as in movement vertically, horizontally, and laterally. As mentioned above, it would more closely resemble a fighter that also uses this, like SC, Tekken, VF, etc.

Besides that, however, being based around the Gotham characters would eliminate a lot of the BS about power-scaling and such.

"Why include just about every Batman character ever this time around?"

Because that's so Batman! The books almost always have multiple heros helping out and villains will often enough work together or step in at just the right moment when Batman's worn down.

It also has NOTHING to do with the fact that Warner Bros. is trying to get her in the public consciousness because she's a main character in the Dark Knight Rises.

Nothing at all.

@Its The Rocketeer Probably not actually. Chances are good Rocksteady started putting Catwoman into the game before anybody knew she was going to be into the movie. Think about it, TDKR wasn't even announced until earlier this year, Arkham City started development right after Asylum came out in 2009, when Nolan was still knee deep in filming Inception, and Nolan is supposedly so tight about the movie's ending that he hasn't even written it down. It's not a stretch to imagine he didn't share it with WB and by proxy Rocksteady that Catwoman was gonna be in the movie early enough for them to start making her a major, major feature of the game.

I would actually pay for post-launch DLC to change the awful goggled Catwoman costume to the classic one seen in Knightfall and other comics of that time.
