...I know what you intended, with the bit about the pants, but it was a tad awkward.

I think if you'd said "I LOVE PANTS," it would've been more obvious.

Really hoping they'd add Jak X too... I know many others weren't huge fans of it but I loooved it. One of my favourite racers ever.

I put off playing through Jak X until earlier this year. I had heard of it's memory card issues, it's lopsided difficulty curve, etc. but I decided to finally give it a proper run through.

My God, what a good game! I never had a memory card glitch, I found it to be fair in it's difficulty and I enjoyed the hell out of it. Too bad the online servers are long gone. I recommend it to anyone who likes combat style racing games/kart racers.

Not surprising at all. We just need a Ratchet & Clank HD collection and we've covered most of the bases on PS2 top sellers. (since the likelihood of Final Fantasy HD collections is close to nil)

True, but these super convenient collections are great deals opposed to one single title at a premium price.

I'm always holding out for a Xenosaga set myself, as well as a Persona pack, a Dark cloud pack, and shadow hearts pack.

I highly recommend the series; a completely under-rated effort by Naughty Dog, in my opinion. In fact, the soon to be released Rage seems to have emulated Jak and Daxter's gameplay (structure); which is "a blend of platforming, driving, and gun combat." Especially the third installment. You'd be a fool not to, at the very least, give the series a try.

I never really gave 3 the time it deserved. I'm sure i'll pick this up at some point. Good to hear. And I hope Jak X is included, even if it's not great, why not?

@Hoops
Precursor was great and 2 was good. 2 came out during that "darker main character" phase that games(Prince of Persia) went through last gen.
I've tried playing 3 on about three separate occasions. I just couldn't get into it. Don't know what it was, but it just wasn't happening. Only played the demo for Jak X, but it seemed like quite a bit of fun.

I'm on the fence for the ICO/SotC collection, but an HD Jak and Daxter collection would be a pre-order for me.

If my PS3 were backwards compatible, I would definitely still own Jak 3 and Jak X. Jak II kind of sucked (it was made when everyone was trying to capitalize on Grand Theft Auto mania), but Jak and Daxter was a good, pure platformer.

I've played a little Jak and Daxter before my launch PS3 died. It seemed like a lot of fun. Now that I no longer have a backwards compatible PS3, I would love an HD remake of the previous games.

I never had a PS2, so this is but one of the many great games I keep hearing about, but never had a chance to play.

There technically is a Jak 4, on the PSP (and later a sloppy PS2 port).

I have II and III. II was pretty good the whole GTA jacking thing was kinda weak but the mission style was kinda cool. Never really stated Jak III but heard good things. I might get it so, I can play the first Jak and relive the others and X.

I hope Jax X is packaged in since the first one had so many problems corrupting memory cards. There were reports that the Greatest Hits version fixed this, but I've heard mixed reports on this and some say that this problem can happen on systems with certain model #'s, etc.

I hope that Naughty Dog is involved with the "remastering". So many of these re-releases would greatly benefit from texture and audio re-encodes from the original sources. Thus far, the audio in the Prince of Persia, Sly Cooper, and Ico HD collections has been the biggest disappointment.
