I love Hideo Kojima, I grew up playing metal gear solid and he is in my opinion one of the best people in the gaming market. I just really wish Hideo would come to Ireland for once -_-"

@(Unverified) I'm a UCLA student, but my USC friend who made reservations to the event invited me as his guest so I got to go in for free too.

mgs games(as well as every other game thats come out in the past decade) always have shitty graphics so why would it matter. do you seriously play mg4 to look at snake's 1080p ass on your blueray movie player? i don't think so. you play to experience super espionage action!

I think it was podcasted/videoed too -- I'll have to find a link to it though.

As for Kojima himself, he's undoubtedly a great influence to the industry. However, after MGS4 and PW, I'm left wondering if his 'influence' is too great among his KONAMI/industry peers & employees to the point of being mildly deafened to input and constructive critique of his games...

So is he saying that if he doesn't do what everyone else is doing, then he'll only continue to make games people enjoy and nothing more? Is that the gist?

Kojima will be remembered just as top tier movie directors are. This is a burgeoning medium that will not get its due for another 15-20 years. The personal stamp on a Kojima game is just as strong as the influence of Lucas or Tarantino.

His thoughts on the differences between japaanese and western game styles is interesting and pretty accurate.

At first glance I thought the article said "Hideo Kojima 'takes' life". I thought to myself, "finally, huh?".

"Survival Battle" that had everyone in its world fight at the age of 14, earning extra time in their lifespan for each victory.

Kinda sounds like the plot of this upcoming movie:

Interesting article! Very well done! It's good to see interactive fiction (also known as text adventure games) get more of the attention it deserves.
In the same vein, there's a modern day interactive fiction publisher releasing new works of commercial interactive fiction that I think people
should know about. This interactive fiction publisher is Malinche Entertainment. Their website is http://www.malinche.net and they've got a
lot to offer anyone interested in interactive fiction/text adventure games.
