@(Unverified) I don't know if $5 dollars is the right price IMHO. It isn't the same game as it's DS counterpart nor is it a mash up of all the levels from those games. This is an iOS *version*.

Maybe $3?

Are you kidding me, I paid 5$ for lunch yesterday. Stop being so stingy.

@Evin

Dude you can't even get Super Scribblenauts USED on eBay for less than 15 dollars.

Iwata was right. There really is a race to the bottom happening here. If people keep expecting awesome games for less than a cup of coffee, we're going to stop getting great mobile games and be stuck with 400 clones of Angry Birds.

Pay the damn 5 dollars and enjoy one of the best DS games ever released!

Quickest Insta-purchase ever.
No reviews on the appstore yet. Just clicked...buy. You probably should too.

Hell Yes! I've wanted to play some version of Scribblenauts since first reading about it, what, 2 or 3 years ago. Glad to see it finally come to something I own.

Oh not this again.

I distinctly remember Joystiq harping on about how great this game was, consecutive news posts about this game etc. Then it launched to bad reviews and nobody liked it.

Because of that whole episode I stopped watching the developers because I figured some writers must have been paid off. How could such a poorly made, awful game with the worst control scheme ever conceived have been praised so much?

Fool me once. Shame on you. I won't be buying the IOS version.

Read the comments here for a taste of what you shouldn't be buying http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/15/review-scribblenauts/

@Undulation

The only issue was that the controls sucked. I'm sure they're crappy here too, but you don't play this type of game for the tight controls and graphics on level 3. It's to solve puzzles with the most stupid, absurd solution available.

@Undulation

Weird. Worst I heard was a few complaints about the controls. Everyone I know sings this game's praises up and down, and I'm looking forward to playing it finally. What reviews were you reading that said it was bad?

Just played for a bit, works great on the iPad. Awesome to see it on a screen that size. Seems like a perfect fit for that device. Very cool.

@Hexidecimal My coworker put it on our corporate iPad and has been giggling in his office ever since, as he summons Giant apes to crush things.
