DEAR JOYSTIQ FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE STOP USING ADVERTISEMENTS THAT ENCOMPASSES EVERY PIXEL OF WHAT SHOULD BE "EMPTY" SPACE WITH IN INVISIBLE ADVERTISEMENT.

I'M SURE I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO VISITS THIS SITE THAT CLICKS "EMPTY SPACE" TO RESET THEIR MOUSE'S SCROLL WHEEL. IT IS UNFORTUNATE AND BOTHERSOME FOR US TO BELIEVE WE ARE CLICKING EMPTY SPACE TO RESET OUR SCROLL WHEELS ONLY TO HAVE AN ADVERTISEMENT OPEN UP.

ALSO, PLEASE SET UP YOUR SCREENSHOT SYSTEM SO THAT WE DO NOT HAVE TO CLICK "HI-RES MODE" FOUR TIMES BEFORE WE CAN SEE THE "HI-RES" SCREENSHOTS.

THANK YOU, AND YES THE CAPS WERE NECESSARY.

I don't mind the ads. In fact, sometimes I click them. Actually that's not true. But still, it's just an ad. The thing that gets me is that you'll get an ad that you can't see for whatever reason, but is still there. Looks blank, and you click to reset your mouse. Ad. OR another good instance is when the left and right both have an ad, with blank space underneath it. Well, you scroll to where you think it's "safe" so you can click to reset your mouse, but it's still adspace and it takes you to an ad.

I do use ABP for Firefox, but I tend not to do that here as it disables some ads that I may click on, or might want to see. Also, there's ads on this website for a reason, it helps these guys stay afloat.

Secondly, (and this is just as important) why am I forced to click "Hi-Res Mode" multiple times? The first click is worthless, does nothing. The second time brings me to the low-res screenshot. Then, the THIRD click finally opens up the Hi-res image. Only, you can't continue to browse the pictures in Hi-Res, so you've got to go through the whole process again.

Downvote me if you want, but no so far as to have my message deleted. I still would like to be heard.

I actually agree with you about the high-res thing. Honestly, why do they even differentiate? Who wants to view low-res pictures?

I do think that emailing Chris about your concerns would be a little more constructive than shouting in the comments, though.

I understand and even partly agree, but if I disable adblock and find popups and 30-second advertisements before videos, it's going to hurt my enjoyment of Joystiq.

How did you not knwo a movie came with it, did you just throw your money at the GameStop employee and scream "THE MOST EXPENSIVE ONE!"?

I think I may go do that when I preorder my Hardened edition of MW.
I'll do it with rolls of pennies.

Lmao. It was Wal-Mart, and I wasn't even planning on buying it, seeing as I'm still rocking through the first one. Then I saw the Collector's Edition, and ya, the guy was like "veech vun?" and I was like "THE BIGGEST ONE!". True story.

As for reporting you? In the best case scenario you'll get banned so I don't have to read your bullshit any more. I think that's worthwhile.

Well that sucks for first week buyers. I think DLC is a good idea if done well but with industry trends going the way they are and fiascos like this happening every now and then, DLC has just gotten mento never buy games in the first year but wait for GOTY editions instead.

My Robin code finally worked around 4pm EST. However, let it download before you start playing. If the DLC finishes downloading while you are playing it will kick you back to the main menu.

And this is why "online codes" suck. Punitive measures for used-game buyers end up screwing day-one purchasers like me.

They sorta screw over everyone, you just typically fall into the "it doesn't effect me so I don't care" crowd. Hopefully this is illuminating.

@copa Don't forget that it screws over early-adopters doubly hard, when that precious code ends up for $4 on XBL and the PSN.:P And then the game drops to $40 new.

I downloaded the Catwoman DLC just fine, but Robin isn't working at all. It's telling me that my code is "invalid". I felt like I was going crazy as I analyzed every letter and number repeatedly, but there's definitely a problem. Anyone else?
