The latest Call of Duty Elite trailer covers the "compete" section of the website, where players compete for fabulous prizes and bragging rights. "Fabulous" is probably too fancy a word to use. Bro-wsome? Dude-tastic?

With the high popularity of Call of Duty among immature children, there should be a lot of immature children who will pay extra for this!*

All the main features are free. The Elite+ or whatever they call it, just gives you a few extra perks and access to the DLC without extra charge.

I hope this becomes a hit. Although, I won't be using Call of Duty: Elite, DICE and EA are going to try very hard to surpass this anyway possible.
And since, I'll be using Battleog a lot (not just for Battlefield games, it will expand to other games), this is good for me.
Although these features have been available in many games on PC for years now and on consoles with Halo, I guess Call of Duty will have the "Apple Effect" and make it a bigger hit.
No, it is not magic.

As popular as COD is, I have serious doubts that this will take off. I think the best thing it's got going for it is the "free" DLC, the other stuff will only really be used by people who play this game competitively.
That said, millions of people bought the $15 map packs...

Someone want to gift me this game on steam? Or maybe send me their PS3 copy when they're done with it?

after seeing how http://www.callofduty.com is run im not touching Elite. the BO theater is still in beta. cod site is always download from high traffic. sign into the website is hit or miss (have to sign into theater to post)
if they added MW1/2 + new maps for the Elite+ i would think about getting it.
