And they delayed the PC release to develop for consoles.

They probably could have sold more if it came out on time.

Most multiplatform downloadable games outperform on PC. PC gamers are a lot more open to digital distribution.

Game deserves all the sales and more, it's one of the best this year.

Not only are they open to digital distribution they are also happy to try out indie-like titles and support the creators. Even if the creators are taking forever.

Huh... now that you mention it, the only indie game I have on my PS3 is PixelJunk. But on my PC, I have at least 30 indie games (from Hunble Bundles to Steam Indie packages to awesome games like Dungeon Defenders and Terraria).

At least in my case and the case of most of my friends, we play way more indie games and nearly all of our PC games are digitally distributed, whereas on consoles, we have very few indie games and most of our games are disc-based.

That's why he said "most" mulitplatform downloadable games. Torchlight is one game, and it got tons of positive press prior to the release of its 360 version.

@killerjuice yeah, even Doom 1 and Duke Nukem used to be indie games. Used to be shareware, and you'd have to mail in to get the games (before they took off big time)

They deserve every sold copy of it + the Portal gun and TF2 characters were amazing additions!

It's a great game! Totally deserves it.

Between this and super meat boy and the success of PC only games like the Witcher 2, hopefully we'll get more and more attention from the big publishers.

Actually, I'd restrict that to the first Witcher game. The Witcher 2 is being worked on to come to the console market (and will have the major 2.0 update on disc).

That's true, but up until the point until it gets released on consoles it has been PC exclusive, and CDPr has said they've been pleased with the sales/reception

@Draugdraugr Exactly my point.

I know it's coming to consoles, but that console porting was financed with the over a million sales on PC to date.

I don't mind PC's great games coming to consoles, the more gamers get to enjoy them the better (although I wish consoles would return the favor once in a while - Red Dead I'm looking at you!).

I just want the PC to get some love and attention from devs. We pay for good games that treat the platform right, so doing right by the platform is only going to have a positive impact on their bottom line.

I'm just happy they finally fixed the Halloween mode so that players can get the rare skins without needing to be level sixty and beat the stupidly hard insane mode.

Great news! The game is ADDICTING. I got Batman Arkham City, Battlefield 3 and Dungeon Defenders all at the same time and my play time is, BF3: 5 minutes, Arkham City: 2 hours, Dungeon Defenders: 20 hours!

Dungeon Defenders is obscenely fun and worth every penny. I only wish they'd patch the PS3 version (which I say pretty much every time the game is mentioned, but hey, I'm dedicating an inordinate amount of time to this thing and I'm becoming increasingly afraid I'll lose progress when the bug/trophy fixes hit).

Either way, if you enjoy couch co-op? Buy it. It's the most fun I've had since Borderlands.

I tried to like it... The idea is solid, but the controls seemed so flaky and floaty that I couldn't get into it.
It doesn't help that XBLA already has three games in the genre (the tower-defense-with-action-gamplay genre) that are great fun and control well.
Whenever I tried to play Dungeon Defenders I just couldn't shake the feeling that could be playing Trenched or Orcs Must Die instead.

Note to developers:

Releasing a demo helps sell people on the fence. After I played the demo I got this....

Agree, we p.c. users are seeing as nothing but pirate rats, well... guess what?? some companies ARE making money on the p.c., just a fast example of what a good game with no crazy DRM and more important FUN FACTOR can do when it´s released on the "dying" p.c. market, now if only the "major" companies could understand this........

After I kept playing the demo every night for a week, I decided to buy it. While I have no friends to play it with, I still find enjoyment in solitude.

Don't feel too bad. The portal gun barely does anything. You can't really direct the portal, and even if you manage to get it over a ledge, there's a half chance those enemies will fall onto the platform. It also takes ammo/energy to keep the portal up, which regenerates when not in use. Basically, you fire the gun, it creates a portal, but you can't attach it to a structure, it stops in the air at a certain point and opens.

I find it really easy to pay $5-$10 dollars on Steam rather then shelling out the equivalent in Microsoft points.

I like this game but the only thing i hate is the Squire's towers out performs the apprentice's towers in every aspect, my towers are used for a round or 2 then they are sold so the squire can stack his towers.
