Glad to see the Zelda franchise still going strong. It's a shame I sold my Wii.

Stupid people do stupid things...

fortunately, a Wii is super cheap nowadays and bundled with some other great Wii titles.

I wouldn't consider it stupid. I wasn't interested in any games after Smash Brothers and Twilight Princess and still haven't been. Even though hearing Skyward Sword is good, I'm still not interested in getting another Wii.

but this wreaks of stupidity, or ignorance. SSB and TP aren't even highlights on the roster.

by this time next year we'll hopefully be getting the next Hitman, Tomb Raider & Sly Cooper, The Last Guardian, Tales of Graces F, BioShock Infinite, Dishonored, and maybe even Grand Theft Auto V & Metal Gear Solid: Rising, as mentioned above. ..and that's just a tiny slice of what 2012 is going to give us.

I haven't even gotten around to beating Dark Souls or Space Marine yet, because I get sucked into Horde 2.0 almost every night. I probably won't even get to Skyrim and BF3 until next year, and that will likely push my ME3 playtime back.

Yeah you aren't the only one. But hey, Nintendo has to try and make sure their only selling point and gimmick with the Wii stays relevant, so what choice do we have?

@WiredKnight : Twilight Princess in 1080p on the Dolphin Emulator comes pretty darn close. Anyone whom has seen it or played it that ay can attest to that. We won't see a 100% HD Zelda until the Wii U.

I know I'll get downvoted for this, but a few people at least have been playing HD Wii games via emulation. Super Mario Galaxy btw really looks awesome in HD. It's a shame that the Wii is so limited when it comes to resolution even if it's been modded.

I've been playing Donkey Kong Country Returns in 1080p HD on my Dolphin Emulator PC with my wireless Xbox 360 controller.

The graphics are absolutely fantastic, but requires an extremely high-end PC to max out. And yes, I own the game on my Wii.

@phx down You definitely are not. This will be the 2nd straight big Zelda release that I don't get off the bat because of it uses a WiiMote as its controller (I eventually got the GC version of Twilight Princess). The non- graphics I can handle, but being forced to play with a WiiMote is definitely downgrading my interest.

I'd normally be right with you guys there, except I seem to be one of the few people who normally don't like motion controls but still see how motion controls stand to improve this game in many ways, to the point where comparisons to TP are unwarranted at best.

I'm dropping $1200 on a PC build over the next week. I'm all about graphics. But I'm not so much of a hater that I'd rather have a resolution bump than what's likely to be the best and most worthwhile implementation of motion control in gaming.

If motion controls add so much to a game, why would you want to play it without motion controls? Because you have a bias against motion controls? Stop being so close-minded. Motion controls work as well as normal controls, it just depends on the game, and this game seems to do it great.

@matias Outside of Wii Sports, motion controls suck. Especially for 40+ hour fantasy adventure games. When I play video games I like to sink deep into my armchair and lose myself in the game. If I wanted to have the feeling of a sword fight I'd get some Nerf bats and go outside.

Motion controls are the single reason I won't buy or play this game.

It sounds like a lot of love was put into the design of this game. I'm glad to see Miyamoto's "next generation" of designers on the franchise are adept at understand what makes the series so profound and fun. That sense of wonder, exploration, of adventure, it truly is what makes Zelda, Zelda. I was honestly on the fence about this one, it's bright colors and stylistic choices (like the character design) didn't necessarily interest me, but I knew that as soon as I started playing, and the gameplay came through, which Nintendo always comes through on, that I would be hooked. I'm glad to see my assumptions seem to hold out. I'll be there on day one to buy it, and finally, since Mario Galaxy 2, I'll have a reason to play my Wii.

@ShinnyMetal Contrary to what you may believe, not everyone can afford shelling out a ton of money every time there's something they want. I, on the other hand, am a CEO of my own company and buy multiple collector's editions of everything even if I don't like the game, so I don't have to deal with these first-world problems.
