I think the Kinect tech is awesome, but I don't think it's "there"just yet for corporate prime time. As a gaming input for imprecise implementations, its fun and exciting, but for corporate, it's sort of like the early tablet implementations in the late 90's.

I think in 10 years or less (most likely less) we will see much more robust implementations with better lenses, smaller "usage zones", and much faster response times, which will make this tech much more feasible for the corporate crowd. Minority Report screens, or its realistic counterpart, are not that far off, and it's exciting to see the tech grow in this infancy stage.

Yeah, I love waving my hands around like a moron! Until I can navigate menus faster without a controller it's not good enough.

That looks even laggier than the official SDK from Microsoft and that video showed absolutely no additional features so why would anyone want to use it?

I love the idea of gesture based interfaces (being an interface designer myself) but until the tracking feels tight and has no lag and it supports gestures to make selections (not the hold your hand for 3 seconds shit) it is a gimmicky way to control things.
