@Schlecht People only like that Victorious video game because it has a cute girl. Hole in the Wall is where it's at. You have to actually know what you're doing, not just look pretty. But people will still flock over to Victorious just because that's what sheep do!

Is there even a point to "releasing" Minecraft? The official release is a joke. As soon as a price was put on it and it was made playable it was released. It got updates until now and after friday it will keep getting updates.

Seeing all those $39.99 price tags for 3DS games is cringing. Hardware sales have picked up, but I am still worried about the overall distribution of software sales. Might end up being Wii all over again (barely any quality 3rd party games selling while Nintendo and casual 3rd party games sell).

If I recall correctly, in Japan, Dragon Quest was so popular that they released the games on Sunday so people wouldn't call off school/work to buy/play it. Maybe that's why Nintendo does it? :-\

Yes, there is actually an enforced law that prevents Dragon Quest from being released on a weekday.

This has nothing to do with that. That is only for Dragon Quest series. Nintendo just always releases its hardware/first party software on Sundays. Don't know why they won't abide by the Tuesday that, but that's how they do it.

Whoa, calm down there Woody! Was just typing some words, that's all!

Though I do like the Sunday release date since I usually don't work that day and there's no competition to get said game when I go to the store. Was pretty surprised to see how many people went to a midnight release of Skyrim and were talking about taking off work/school. I know it's Skyrim and it lis magnificent (minus the UI, another story) but to take off work for it? School I can understand. :)

Who says game companies have to release games on Tuesday? My understanding is that game companies release on Tuesdays because movie and music releases are also on Tuesdays.

personally im sticking with skyrim; ill get zelda later on since i still dont own the motion plus thingie. im sure skyrim, uncharted3, battlefield3, disgaea 4, and dark souls will keep me occupied for a good 4 or 5 months, maybe even longer.THENNN its time for zeldaaa :3

Playing through 999 on the DS, its really creepy, can't believe such a game exists on a DS to begin with, which is why i love it. :P

That's a great game. I remember having several pages of notes written based on things I noticed just to try to remember everything so I could figure out all the intricacies of the story. Hope you're enjoying it as much as I did!

Ooh! That's a great one!
Make sure you do the Coffin ending first, then all of the other endings, THEN the TRUE ending. It adds more to the experience.

@Xupmatoih That's an amazing game. They screwed up when releasing it in Canada (they didn't print the label in both English and French) so it was hard to find a copy, but I managed to track one down and I'm really glad I did. Such a great game. So many intense moments.

Agreed. I'm really surprised Skyward Sword didn't take the top bill. I mean, the entire Assassin's Creed franchise has been created after Link's last outing. Strange that an annual outing took the bill over something that will remain $50 for another 3 years.

Seriously? This is Joystiq, one of the most anti-Nintendo game blogs out there. They'd put up a screen of Hole in the Wall before they'd put up Skyward Sword.

I really am looking forward to SS though. I never pre-order games but I've had this one reserved for months now, I can't wait to start it just as soon as I can finish Bioshock.

It's definitely Skyward Sword for me. I'm also thinking about picking up L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition since it'll have all of the DLC included in one bundle. I might also get Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but I'm thinking I might just hold off for a bit until I'm sure that this will be the last iteration of the game.
