Indie studio Blossom Minds has ecology on the brain with its new game, "Walter." The titular protagonist appears to be composed of two parts hydrogen, one part oxygen and a pair of eager-looking eyeballs. Walter's "uneven fight against an evil oil company" takes the form of a vibrant platformer.
No further details have been announced, but we do know that Blossom Minds is targeting PSN, XBLA and Steam for its games. "It's a technically advanced game and can only be done on those platforms," studio co-founder Jérôme Braune told us in July. "We are not making games for phones or Facebook. Nothing can beat the feeling of having a gamepad in hand." Hey, that didn't stop us from befriending a courageous dolphin in EcoQuest: The Search for Cetus, did it?

Sounds a lot like Dewy's Adventure (a failure though it was)

Oh .. good to know !
I was sure that Fluidity (wiiware) was awesome ... but i might have just dreamed that .. i mean ... an awesome 2d metroidvania where you control water for wiiware don't make any sense ... even when you think that it isn't on 360 and ps3

@dsp4
They never said they would never make for anything other than ps3/360/steam because it was crap to develop.
Hell .. they are making a ps3 version ... a vita port is the easiest thing EVER
... and by what i know, neither are steam or live arcade good developer friendly places
(remember the meat boy people complaining ?)
Also, there are people who like wiiware !
I mean .. that is the only explanation for developers like Gaijin and Shi'en that praticaly only released wiiware games this generation =P

Can't believe I just saw an EcoQuest reference in 2011. Its really creepy to think that I played and beat that game 20 years ago when I was 7. God I loved those Sierra/LucasArts adventure games...
