@Sc4rfac3
I almost played that this weekend. I had gotten my gamecube controllers out and everything, but stuff came up. :(

Looking at the screenshot they posted up there, I'm surprised at how chunky it looks. In my memory, that game has amazing graphics. I remember the opening scene, traipsing across the desert.. I knew doing a big outdoor scene like that was using the engine for something it wasn't intended for (that was something I knew back when I actually remembered what engine it was), but they used the right tricks and everything looked and sounded amazing.

Being in the northeast, I also liked how it took place in Providence. heh. A friend of mine also commented that he liked the "realistic sensibility" of it, because when the uncle was killed, and the protagonist was asked to fly ALL THE WAY to Rhode Island, my friend had considered it a gameplay contrivance and asked himself "Can't they just check the freakin' dental records?" and right then, the girl yells at the cop "Can't you check dental records or something?!" then we learn there's no head. Classic.

I remember reading about the 'Bath Tub Trick' in Eternal Darkness in a GamePro. I also remember finding the same place in-game and thinking "Oh man..." when the [A] button prompt was displayed over the bath tub.

Never have I played a video game that reminded me of so many of my nightmares, save for Dark Souls.

The levels of which Gamecube was superior over Xbox was unlike any 2 systems ever in the history of gaming.

. The xbox was a huge disappointment to me, although I did not look that hard for exclusive games, I admit. The gamecube at least got a lot of my attention initially. I didn't get a ps2 till 2006.

It might be one of the obvious, but the Resident Evil Remake is one of the best games of its kind. I still prefer it to the original.

Except for how badly the Dreamcast crapped on basically everything, including the N64. Proof again that superior system specs don't win console wars. (And I'll point out I'm sad the Dreamcast died, I ADORED mine.)

Cody has never used an Xbox or Xbox 360 in his life. He's just a deluded Nintendo fanboy that's been banned countless times before for being a trolling prat.

Good job GameCube, nice work Xbox. You're both two of my favorite consoles ever!

Eat it Co.

P.N. 03
Chibi Robo
Cubivore

^ All good choices. Billy Hatcher and Luigi's Mansion should also be up there.

Well, Luigi's Mansion would fall under "the obvious" category.
Probably the best Gamecube game ever.

PN03 - the Bayonetta of the previous console gen. Always thought it was a sweet game, Vanquish also has the same vibes, for obvious reasons.

Other top 10 Gamecube exlusives:

1.Resident Evil 0

2.Resident Evil 1-Remake

3.Fire Emblem

4.Baten Kaitos Origins

5.Sonic Gems Collection

6.Soul Calibur II (I know it's also on the PS2 and Xbox, but this has Link in it, thus making the other two irrelevant.)

7.Tales of Symphonia

8.Lost Kingdom

9.Lost Kingdom II

10.Mega Man: Network Transmission

@FinalFantasyXIIIsucks Tales of Symphonia was ported to the PS2 so it doesn't really count as exclusive anymore. Still one of the greatest gcn titles though

@SteveoftheGods I totally forgot about that! I guess you could say that ToS is still sort of exclusive to the GC because the PS2 port never made over here to the US. Either way, I don't care. Tales of Symphonia is one of the best JRPGs ever made.

PSO EP3, on top of being a fun, though flawed, game, still boasts one of the very best soundtracks of all time.
Used to just let the intro play every time to hear the opening song.

I remember P.N. 03 getting a lot of low scores back then. This is important to note because give a game a score in a review was still acceptable back then.

Does Animal Crossing fall under the obvious category? Because it was anything but obvious when it debuted. It looked like childish kiddy crap and I wanted nothing to do with it. But then I rented it on a whim, (Blockbuster had it for rent before you could buy it) and I was mezmorized. I got 2 other friends hooked on it, and it was the basis of a friendship with another that is still going strong today.

@Hoops I forgot about Animal Crossing! It premiered for the western audience on the Gamecube, that was a great title debut. Probably under the obvious category but in a " ...oh yeah, that game!" kinda way.

Heey, I still play WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames at least once a month. In fact, Wario World, though short, was also a really cool Wario game for the Gamecube.

And dude, Sega's Amazing Island? I really don't remember why but I was addicted to that when I was like 17. Stupid, stupid game but addictive.

Eternal Darkness.
Also, the remake of the original Resident Evil. Seriously, this remake is the best survival horror game ever made, and its graphics and environment were extraordinary. And laughingly, it was an exclusive to the Gamecube, a console that was mocked for its lack of 18+ games.

Pac-man VS was an amazingly fun concept that I hope is repeated on wiiU (it required a GBA) Pacman was controlled by the player on the GBA and could see the whole map while the other 3 players controlled ghosts on the tv each only having a limited view of the map. It was the greatest thing to happen to pacman until championship edition
