As much as we're all enjoying our lack of sleep and food, plugging away countless hours in Skyrim, there are a multitude of bugs that need to be addressed. It would appear the wait is coming to an end, as Pete Hines took to Twitter to confirm title updates are incoming soon.
Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 updates have been submitted, with the PC soon to follow. Hines says current estimates for the updates to go live are the week after Thanksgiving -- that's the week after next, for all of you non-Americans -- but that's hardly set in stone. In the meantime, just try to keep saving as often as you can!

Actually kind of like some of the Skyrim bugs. I think if it wasn't for them breaking my immersion every so often I would actually waste away playing that game..

This is one of the reasons i always wait to play this games until all the expansions are released, first i hate to re-play a game that i already beat just for an expansion, and second when they finally say: "no more expansion" usually must of the bugs are fixed, at least the lethal ones, that´s what i did with fallout, i played the game when no more expansions were released and with all the patches, i didn´t have a single problem, there is a small price to pay though...... this usually means that i end up playing the game 9 months after the release, that part sucks but at lest right now there are lots of games to keep me occupy till skyrim is fully released.

No chance in hell I buy another Bethesda game at launch.
And when I do buy it, it will be used.

I dunno what's your problem.
Oblivion and Fallout 3 had it's bugs at launch (of course...they're huge) but in relation to the whole game, it was always totally fine.
Skyrim: The collision physics of some objects and enemies could be better and then there is the trainer-companion bug...but that's it tbh. Couldn't recognize more...
I'm sure there are some problematic things here and then because the game is HUUUGE, but I don't give a crap. The game itself is simply a masterpiece and I'm glad that I bought it.

What is the trainer-companion bug? The only bug I have found is that my follower wouldn't freaking follow me when I went on the side quest to find the sword of the red dude (can't remember his name right now - doesn't matter I suppose) and the dumb chick wouldn't walk over a small rock... I spent 20 minutes running back and forth trying to coax her from one side of the temple and then the other and then back and then back again... finally killed her out of anger and reloaded the game... still didn't work so went on without her and came back for her stupid ass later. That was pretty frustrating.

I'm not sure if its the same thing the guy up above is talking about, but my friend found a way to increase his archery every five levels for free. I don't know which companion it is, will train him in archery. After you pay him for the five ranks in archery, my friend goes in to his companions inventory and takes the payment out of the companions inventory. When he levels up, he can do it again.

@stiqlol No, it's the other guy. Starts with an F. Faerendal or something and is an elf. You either chose to help Sven or him by giving their fake letter to what's her face. (Sorry I'm not being more specific just got done working 12 hrs and have a problem remembering the names in Skyrim. Hell, I've caught myself referring to a certain city as "Winterfell" even though I know that's AGoT's)

Love this game, even just to get on at an hour at a time, but frame rate drops on PC are quite annoying. I'm hoping they addressed this issue.

The bugs are not that bad, the game has only froze on me twice and thats after like 50 some hours of gameplay. I finally beat the main quest last night now to finish the countless amount of side quests i havent finished yet but any bugs i have encountered hasn't swayed me from not playing. No game this huge could possibly be perfect just deal and move on.

@quicksilverbalt Twice? Lucky you. I'm well past 4 times. Luckily, it has been happening at load screens after a recent save, perhaps the save being the cause. So the 360 gets a short rest while I grumpily get up to power it off. That, plus the auto-scroll of some menus making it a mini-game to select the right quest, are all I dislike about the game so far. Ummm, OK, perhaps the whole "level up too quickly and we'll DESTROY you" thing too but that was a known...

Are Member Profile pages failing to load for everyone else? I like being able to keep tabs on my Joystiq conversations, but I've been unable to do that on either of my PCs.

I've been meaning to post about this, because it's not working on any browser for me either.
A very bizarre workaround is to go to the address bar while on the profile page and replace joystiq.com with engadget.com (or wow.joystiq.com, or pretty much any Weblogs site besides Joystiq and Massively) and it'll load up the profile.
But please fix this soon.

I'm in for about twenty hours but no bugs yet. The only thing keeping me from having put more hours in is that the game is so beautifully daunting, so richly populated, and so vast in scope that sometimes I have to walk away to avoid feeling overwhelmed. It's so evident how much care and love has been put into this project that interacting with it is almost a spiritual experience. And yes, I am completely serious.

I've not found anything gamebreaking in my journies, mostly just hilarious stuff.
The one thing that NEEDS to get fixed though is the random frame-rate drop and crashing on PC. I'll walk into a house and all of a sudden my framerate is like 1 or 2, and I have to alt tab out and then back in to the game to fix it, and 50% of the time that crashes the game.

I've run into maybe 2 bugs in the about 50 hours I've been playing, neither of them were even close to gamebreakers. I've finished the thieves guild, done a bunch of dark brotherhood related stuff, some main story quests, and a bunch of random quests. That doesn't even mention the dungeons i've run just for fun.

The only bug I encountered so far was when I fell through a door in Dragonsreach and ended up in a white void.

I guess I'm the only gamer who can't spend hours and hours playing a game. I've also not picked up Skyrim yet but even the seasons other big hits like Zelda, whilst the best game I've recently played certainly can't hold me for more than a couple of hours at a time.
I guess my mind is more wired to spend time with family, work or pursuing learning an instrument or learning a new skill.

I feel the same way. Aside from responsibilities, I just can't sit down in front of a TV for over 2 hours a day. I usually go about 1 hour a night.

Yet you must be pretty insecure to come on a gaming blog with such a baseless air of superiority. Learn a new skill or instrument? How about getting better on things you already know, huh? Or do you just fail at everything, always hopping from one thing to the next without ever being able to identify? Must suck to not be able to be interested/be good in something to the point where you can get immersed.

As someone that didn't care much for Oblivion, Skyrim was pretty impressive from what I played. It had its problems, but the Nordic vibe was much cooler than the generic fantasy vibe of Oblivion.

I've only got a mid-range pc, have played the game just about 30 hours and had one bug occur that forced me to restart. Playing on ultra, no issues really. Guess I've just been lucky so far.

I haven't seen any major bugs so far, and I've played it for at least an hour or two ever day since it came out. I have a few random items stuck in my inventory, and it froze up on me once, but that's the worst of it. I just hope they fix the framerate, since it gets pretty unbearable when I'm in heavily populated areas.
