it may be an old joke, but it's still relevant, just like all the "pew pew" jokes about the Kinect. let's just face facts, Kinect AND Move are pretty lame, especially when it comes to the commercials advertising these products. have you seen the new Move commercial where all the cool hipsters are dancing in generic living room #560243240? AWESOME! totally makes me want to get one.

I have no interest in the Move or Kinect. And it's funny how Sony always provides the shipping not sold figures.

@Faenix I too am waiting, i just haven't seen many games that i'm really interested in. Sorcery looks pretty amazing and would totally buy it but i want more. I just don't see the justification in the moves price tag for the games that they offer right now. I'm sure a ton of people love it and i want to but i just can't take the plunge

@Faenix That's the main reason I haven't traded mine in yet. Sorcery and the off chance that something worthwhile might come out that's Move-only.

Well at least I learned something: Motion controls just isn't for me...

Me too. Sorcery is the one game that I want. As someone that buys pretty much every new piece of hardware, I am disappointed that I currently have no reason to invest in Move.

And where are the black friday/Christmas sales on it? Kinect is on sale pratically everywhere it is sold this weekend, but I have seen no Move hardware sales.

Best Buy, Target, and pretty much every other trailer have Move bundles on sale all over the place, fyi.

If you mean the Move controller alone, then no, there are no sales. But there aren't any Kinect camera- only sales either. They are all part of a bundle with games.

take this as you will but I've a friend who went to a game programming masters school. One of his classmates was hired by Sony to work of Sorcery. I then asked about the game and he told me that his friend said the game was stuck in dev hell, and seemed to more then likely be canned.

@halfportalfortress4dead they did, but i have had some good times with my move. KZ3 and R3 was a lot of fun. We just need more games to come out. But it seems like new systems are going to roll out before meaningful games for these devices.

I thought the Move support was the only really good thing about KZ3. The 3D was absolutely atrocious and the game itself was a big ol' pile of meh (this coming from a freakin' huge KZ2 fan), but that's ONE GAME.

I love my move. I think it's really awesome tech. How's about you gimme some games for it, guys.

@halfportalfortress4dead Sony just needs to make a Skyward Sword style game. I don't see why nobody has done this, unfortunately Deadmund's Quest is the closest, but they just had to freaking make it on rails. I suppose Sorcery will be the next closest, but it looks like there is only spells and no swordplay in that.

I got my Move in the Resistance 3 Doomsday Edition, which I only bought because it was the closest thing us North Americans were going to get to a Collector's Edition.

Overall it's been hit or miss for me, I loved it with rail shooters like House of the Dead, but couldn't get into with Killzone 3.

@BrianZeluz

Check out some of the reviews of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

The problem isn't with the tech... it is with the games. Make great games for move... experiences that people can't live without, and it will fly off of store shelves.

On the other side of the coin, so much of Sony's remaining fanbase has been bitter on motion controls as a form of confirmation bias, that is has become difficult to sell Move to them.

@BrianZeluz They down voted you because they don't like truth apparently. Sad. So very sad. Anyone who has half a brain will tell you that the Move and Kinect were both knee jerk reactions to a gimmicky novelty that really has no place in this generation of gaming. Hooking up a Kinect to my X360 or a Move to my PS3 is akin to giving one of my children a lobotomy. Why would I want to take something that functions so well and make it less than? Answer? I wouldn't. My Wii is already geared to be less than, so I can except that. It's like if I had a kid with FAS, Okay, he's like that already, so I can except that. I can work with that. So in essence, I'm saying the Wii is like having a kid with FAS. Every once in awhile he does something noteworthy and we celebrate it, but it's not all that often and we pretty much ignore him for years at a time. Oh and he has poor resolution and is dusty and we buy his clothes in the bargain bin at WalMart.

Why? They are no making this the primary business nor the main means of control. It is just one more option in the great variety and flexibility of both consoles.

I wouldn't say its catching up with the Kinect. The last sales figures we received for Kinect was March at 10million(a mere 4 1/2 months after launch) . God knows what the sales figure for it after 9 months have passed are. I would say that it could easily be over 25million sold after Christmas

Dont get me wrong, What Sony has sold with the Move is Amazing... but to say that it is catching up at this point when move is just reaching 9million, and kinect has already surpassed that months ago would be a major overstatement.

The problem is that there is already a perfectly good console with these features that has great fun games which use motion controls. Sony should have spent their development money somewhere else. The demographic of ps3 players meant this was never going to succeed.

well, I can name only a few games that I enjoyed for Move; Sports Champions, Dead Space Extraction, and...
well that's it, really. (echochrome II and Tumble get points for technology demos, really).
I've tried just about every demo available for Move and those are really the only four I'd recommend. (NO! Get back to your island with your Eyepet, Dr. Moreau).*
The technology's great, don't get me wrong. It's just that no one knows what to do with it yet. That's why developers put the option to use standard controls into motion-control enabled games; they don't want to alienate the other 40 million potential buyers of their game.
Kinect has a much bigger problem; with no buttons what do you do? Wave your arms frantically at the screen? Anyone who walks by on the street and looks into your living room window will wonder, wtf? Couldn't that person prioritize and buy curtains first?

*yes I know EyePet's not for Move, it's for the Eye, but it was apt, I say. Apt!
