Do you wish you could dedicate every moment of your life to Skyrim, dreading the seconds you have to leave the game to go to the bathroom, get Taco Bell or -- the absolute worst -- go to work and function in greater society? Fear not, intrepid Skyrimmer (ew), because now there's a way to take the game's lore on your iPad, iPhone, Nook, Kindle and other e-readers and tablets.

It's hard to stop a Tamrielian best seller that's over 200 years old.

The standalone segments are well-written. I can't comment on the 7-parters since I haven't found all of them in sequence.
No need to worry about that now though! I'm glad that guy did this, cracks me up when I read this:
" I’ve even gone so far as to break into houses in the middle of the night just to read their books."
I probably would too if I had more lockpicks...it's a bit tougher than in Fallout 3.

@kentuckyfried But isn't it wonderful that they're now using that system? Of course, there was no way they would keep the Oblivion one, but the point remains. Despite being an apprentice, I've been able to successfully pick expert locks in Skyrim, and that's really appreciated.

I'm glad they kept it, but I feel like I'm picking locks with wooden toothpicks. =D
Hope I don't run out of lockpicks. That happened in my first playthrough of Fallout 3 where I couldn't pick locks from lvls 14-20 b/c I couldn't find anymore for the longest time.

I made myself a rule that my character HAS to steal every book he comes across, regardless of difficulty or consequence. I have to houses full of books. I was (sorta) planning on reading them someday, but this will make it waaaay more worthwhile.

Also, If I were to go back in time a month and tell my Past Self that he would become so hopelessly addicted to a video game that he'd be reading the in-game literature in his spare time, Past Self would probably smother me with a plastic bag right there on the spot. He'd be right to do it, too.

I actually found myself wishing there was an app or something like this for the things you pick up in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I'd read it all if it was in my phone

I'm surprised Bethesda hasn't sent them a cease and desist already.

Good resource if you'd like the books on your e-Reader. Also check out The Imperial Library, which has all the texts from all Elder Scrolls games plus a ton of notes and explanations from fan "librarians." http://www.imperial-library.info/

Real men collect all the in-game books and read them from their personal library.

I have a similar projects at http://www.arcanaeum.com/
It has all the books in a simple, clean but stylistic format. Makes it easy to read the books on your laptop, tablet or phone.
