Steam Autumn Sale: Limbo, Overlord 75 percent off
34
Steam's Autumn Sale continues today, with some spectacular sales on Limbo ($2.49), Civilization 5 ($10.19), the Overlord complete pack ($4.99) and more. There's also a terrible sale on Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, wherein Steam is still asking people to actually pay for it.
Steam is also offering franchise sales on The Witcher, F.E.A.R., Tom Clancy and, to keep the excitement at manageable levels, Kane & Lynch titles.

Kane & Lynch wasn't that bad. You got a great appreciation for other games after you had played it.

@DBuckEye I hope you're talking about the second game, because the first game was horrible.

God damn I bought Limbo a week ago for full price and now it's a couple of dollars. Not even enjoying the game. Wonder if I can call out EU laws and get a refund.

@Undulation Well you /obviously/ have no taste in art.

@Undulation It's no ones fault but your own that you bought the game before the sell. Trying to get a refund because you don't like the game is bs you should of played the demo first. And anyways you should of known to hold off on your purchase it being a week before Black Friday. /rant

Again with the Steam announcement? Isn't one enough?
How about giving GoG, GameStop Downloads or Origin a shake of the news stick? Or is Steam paying?

@britboyj27 I love GoG as much as the next person, bought quite a few games over there. But compared to what they have on special right now, Steam is blowing them out of the water.
GoG's current specials aren't really worth mentioning. I will say GameStop has some good Digital prices right now.Origin isn't worth mentioning till monday, they are having a 60% sale.
I see no foul play here, Steam is killing it at the moment. Maybe listing a couple GameStop ones might be good but they are not pushing it like Steam is.

It's because more people use Steam that's just it. No one can beat them and no one will. Ubisoft can complain all they want about piracy and not putting games on the PC, but if they released it on Steam it would do fairly well. Valve knows what they're doing.

@britboyj27 origin has some good deals like batman I got yesterday but their client pisses me off so much. I had batman halfway done downloading and I turned of my laptop to move it somewhere else and when I turned it back on it started again from the beginning! what is the point of having a download client if it can't do partial downloads (like oh say steam or bittorrent or anything else) I have still yet to play batman as it is only just now 77% done. It says 1 hour 40 minutes to go but seeing how it went so far i expect at least 3 hours wait.

Not worth mentioning? GoG had Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2 on sale. A few other things caught my attention, but I'm excited that I finally get to try these supposed adventure classics.

Ugh, I haven't picked up Civ V yet. I'm a noob to the game, which I hear the game is geared to me. Should I drop the $16 for the super deluxe version? Please help me, random internet strangers.

What I've seen with most people is that when you get CIV you'll either love it or hate it. The DLC adds a decent amount and is definitely worth it for $7 more. They add scenarios and a couple new civs. I think the deluxe edition comes with the soundtrack too (and CIV has good music).
My advice: download the demo and play that for an hour or two. If you enjoy it, buy the full deluxe game.

no, you really don't need the deluxe/GOTY edition. those bonus civs & maps aren't worth shit

Well, I play a good amount of CIV and I really like the extra stuff. It was worth it to me. Definitely worth more than a $15 map pack in COD imo.

Bought Limbo off of the PSN sale earlier in the week. I hope they recycle the Portal 2 for $10 sale tomorrow, missed the first day of the sale.

Rage dropping down to $30 is pretty good. I've put it on my 360 xmas game list though, so I shan't partake.

I wasn't going to buy any ubisoft games since they consider me a thief and low life for even considering gaming on PC, but then I decided that a bigger "screw you" would to actually buy the few games that interested me. Albeit not greatly.
Here's a tip for you, Ubisoft:
PC Gamers are the biggest fanboys out there and it's hard for us to forget. (Shocking right?) Treat us right, we treat you right (provided you actually release decent games...) Steam is a testament to this as well as all the indie games doing well now. Treat us like crap and we will be less inclined to buy your stuff. Even easier when you riddle it with a shoddy, lazy port loaded with idiotic DRM that we know you won't deactivate once you take down the servers because, well, it's you. That's why we don't buy your games, not that we're pirating them because from what I can see, it happens just as often on 360 as it does PC 90% of the time. The numbers simply don't lie!
TL;DR?
It's you Ubisoft, not us.

@Mmmmz I liked conviction but if I bought it would have to download the pirated version to actually be able to play it. my internet is to disagreeable sometimes to be able to play always online

@JimmyBoy I dont play many stealth games and I loved it, it wasn't particularly hard but it was good fun. DRM might be a bitch if you have a patchy internet connection - didn't cause me any issues, it is however completely unnecessary.
For todays price of £3.24 you can't go wrong.

The first Witcher game is $2.49 in today's Steam sale. I'm a sucker for prices like that. If I get 1/24 the fun/value of a $60 game, it's worth it.

@logicbus the only bad thing about the first Witcher is god awful voice acting. Other than that, I played it earlierthis year and it was one of the better gaming experiences I've had in awhile
