Bethesda likes bugs, thinks players like bugs, and that bugs make their game good.

"If it's gonna break the game, or unbalance the game in some way, we do try to solve it."
This single sentence from the link you provided defeats your entire ridiculous argument. They dont add in sh1t to screw up the gameplay, They didnt even say anything about adding bugs, you completely misinterpreted what they said. They said they would leave something in if it had entertainment value, not if it messed up the gameplay.

and now your quote "Bethesda likes bugs, thinks players like bugs, and that bugs make their game good."
They said they would leave things in that were fun and entertaining, PEOPLE FIND SOME BUGS FUNNY, THEY POST STUFF ONLINE ABOUT THEM, MAKING VIDEOS, LEAVING COMMENTS, THATS HOW THEY KNOW THAT PEOPLE FIND SOME THINGS FUNNY, IF YOU WOULD TAKE THE STICK OUT OF YOUR ASS AND LOOK AROUND YOU WOULD REALIZE THAT. JUST BECAUSE YOU DONT FIND ANYTHING FUNNY AND WANT TO BE SWALLOWED UP IN YOUR GAME, DOESNT MEAN ANYONE ELSE DOESNT FIND THINGS FUNNY, OR WANTS TO LAUGH AT SOMETHING IN THE GAME EVERY NOW AND THEN. NEVER DID THEY SAY BUGS MAKE THEIR GAME GOOD, NEVER DID THEY SAY THAT THEY 'THINK' THAT BUGS MAKE THEIR GAME GOOD. NEVER DID THEY SAY OUR GAME IS GOOD BECAUSE OF THE FUNNY BUGS. THE GAME DIDNT GET GOOD REVIEWS BECAUSE OF THE BUGS. You are taking your opinion and declaring it as bethesdas thoughts. Do you understand how moronic that is??? You also keep going on about immersion. You are already playing a FANTASY game, stuff that could never happen, and you are complaining that certain things shouldnt happen? You make literally no sense whatsoever.

On a side note i've yet to notice any glithces in this game period. Save for the fact the every one in a while(3 times total so far) the dragon would keep his skin on death and thus I didn't get a Dragonsoul

@Pesterenan I've actually had a backwards dragon before 1.2 so I don't think this patch is responsible but it's possible the one in the video was constantly flying in reverse which would be worse than what I saw.

Yes, the fact that the game has lots of content excuses the fact that their HORDE of game testers can't spend their time going off in different directions to test anything.

Yes, the fact that the game has lots of content and the world is SO BIG excuses the fact that they didn't realize that Giants knock you into space whenever they hit you, because hell, it's obvious that the world is SO BIG that nobody ever ran into a Giant when testing the game.

Waiiiiit, that can't be right!

While I do not program video games I do program software professionally, a lot of times changing something in one place can have unintended affects somewhere you would never expect. Going through all the permutations needed to test every possibility.

using shouts and getting hit by common enemies has nothing to do with testing every possibility. It happens whenever you are in combat, just playing the game normally would allow you to run into these problems. The weapon switch problems, damage resistance problems and broken shouts have been there since the game was released, I know this because I deal with these problems consistently

I really love this game but the save issue really ruined the experience for me. I gave up on waiting for a decent fix. So I sold the PS3 version on eBay for 50 bucks last week. Hopefully the PC version will go on sale soon so I won't lose any money when I inevitably buy it again.

Lesson learned I guess...I should have gone for the PC version in the first place. I can play the game on ultra and mess around with all the mods.

The only problem with the PC version is that the game was made for Console this time around, and the controls are still really sketchy unless you use a controller anyways.

Thank god for mods though; they've always fixed Bethesda's errors.

Which is wrong on multiple levels.

It's lazy development that leaves the consumers to fix the product with mods - like the LAA fix.

"Do we need to put brakes on this car?"

"Nah, I'm sure whoever buys it can make brakes for everyone."

@arkweld Eh, I guess. I think it's more the fact that some customers will always want to change a car in other, more superficial ways that aren't necessarily a requirement. Adding a spoiler, for instance, or new headlights that let them see more clearly in the dark.

Adding fun stuff should be what mods are for.

Not fixing the game so that it runs correctly, which is exactly what the LAA launcher does. Something that Bethesda could have easily addressed before and after launch.

Engine graphic upgrades should have been in the game too. Not left for consumers to make.

It's just purely lazy development.

@Startropicana I learned from my Fallout 3 experience to just wait for the inevitable GOTY edition.

I was about 10 hours into Fallout 3, wandered off into an area and all of the characters were referencing things that never happened. Confused, I looked in my strategy guide and sure enough I wound up skipping nearly half the storyline as a result of accidentally talking to a certain character.

Just wait, buddy. I was singing this game's non-glitchy praises on PS3 too. For the first thirty or so hours I was pretty astonished by the lack of bugs. Then, as that save game creeps up, more and more little problems poked out their head. I've got over 50 pounds of quest items stuck in my inventory that I'll never be able to get rid of because they didn't leave when I completed their respective quests. Quite upsetting.

I'm dying to play Skyrim, but I'm stil going to wait for another round of title updates before I get started.

I got burned badly by game-breaking bugs in my launch version of Fallout 3. I plan to invest insane amounts of time in Skyrim, and I want the experience to be the best one possible.

So, before Skyrim came out, Bethesda made a public statement that they wouldn't be removing any of the bugs that make things silly so long as they were found after release, because they felt players would enjoy them. Now, that's okay, some of the bugs were interesting.

At this point though, it seems that they're either really lazy, or they're actually INTENDING to put all these bugs into the game, and that they didn't even bother to fix the ones that they had before. Any game tester would have seen their character being thrown twenty thousand feet into the air from the giants. But hey, that's what constitutes as good game making these days, apparently.

Skyrim, 5/5 for its excessive "Fun" bugs.

Why are people complaining about the giants launching you? It doesnt brake the game, you would already be dead even if it didnt launch you, its funny to most people, and its not even an important issue. There are problems with the gameplay and people are still bitching about being launched by giants when they die

It's an issue of broken immersion in a game that was advertised as having full immersion into a world. The best way to immerse yourself is to NOT have NPCs breaking conversations, yelling angrily at you for taking items then asking how your day was, NOT having NPCs being complacent while you put buckets on their heads and take their things, NOT having dragons flying backwards, giants launching you thousands of feet in the air, etc, etc.

That's not immersion, and immersion is what this game USED to be about. But because so many people said they like bugs, Bethesda said "Oh hey, people want the bugs; let's make a ton of fun bugs and not fix them"

I'm sorry, but immersion was already questionable when a town's residents come after you in a vindictive rage for killing A chicken roaming around on the sidewalk.
