Ok, Joystiq. I'm normally not one to criticize you when you're not very quick with the news, but the Aleph One project, as well as the Marathon trilogy, have been around and available for free for six and a half years.

Aleph One has actually been both in development and open source for about 12 years. The only news here is that the community has finally launched version 1.0 today.
