Steam grants wishes with Daily Wishlist Giveaway

Steam sales are great, but even at deep discounts you still have to pay for the games you want. Valve will give a few lucky Steam users the coveted 100% discount on the games in their wishlists, with the "Daily Wishlist Giveaway."

Here's how it works: first, make sure you have at least ten games in your Steam wishlist. Then just visit the page for each day's Daily Deal -- today it's Terraria for $2.50 -- and you'll be entered. Ten people will win their top ten games every day, from today through whenever Valve decides to start its Holiday Sale. Last year, that was December 20.

Some I own on other platforms but I want it on PC for mod support (Skyrim), others (Witcher 2, fallout, fallout 2) I got on gog and are only there cause I dont know how they will count Dungeon siege complete.

I threw on a bunch of really great games that I already own (in addition to the two or three that I really want for myself) so I could give them to friends if I win. Doubt I'll win though. I'm not lucky.

My Steam collection is at 265 games (about 250 too many), and while steamcalculator.com mistakenly thinks I only have 252 games, it is definitely wrong when it says the value of my collection is $2470.99. Well, the "value" may be correct, but I know I haven't paid nearly that much.

I do waste too much money on games though. :(

Indeed. There was a calculator that gave you the sale price on the total and the full price, but I can't find it for the life of me now.

They managed to empty my wishlist to under 10 with their Thanksgiving sale. Added a few just for this sale.

Just bought Terraria. It's actually the first thing I've ever bought on Steam.

I think it's sheer greed that I load up my top 10 with newer, pricey games, some of which I actually do want to play, some of which I figure I'll get to at some point. The cheaper ones I figure I'll buy on sale anyway.
