Dungeon Defenders is $3.75 on Steam for a few more hours
24
Trendy Entertainment's polished tower defense action game, Dungeon Defenders, is a mere $3.75 ($11.24 for a four-pack) until 1PM Eastern/10AM Pacific on Steam. The 75 percent discount is part of its Steam's Daily Wishlist promotion.
Dungeon Defenders' DLC, including the New Heroes and Warping Core Challenge Pack, is also currently 75 percent off, for $1.24 and $0.49, respectively. That means one could grab the game and all its DLC for less than the game's regular $15 price.

I tried it on both my phone and the xbox and it just didn't do anything for me. I don't know if the controls on the pc would help me warm up to it any better or not. But damn, that is a helluva deal...

If this was for mac, or on sale on PSN, I would have bought it. PC-only steam ftl.

@Ceridith There's no part of my post that is complaining at steam as an entity. I'm complaining about the circumstance of the sale: only on steam, and only on PC.
One or both of those are the developer's fault. I'm well aware of that.

@(Unverified) I think you just misunderstood my meaning.
I didn't mean "steam is fail because it's PC only", I meant "this sale is fail because the game is PC only and it's not on sale on PSN".

Wish I could fix this crap. It shows my account name correctly. I have no idea why it says unverified.

It looks really sweet, but I have no interest in any game in the "tower defense" genre =/

Personally, I've enjoyed TD games in the past, but after so many flash games and full games and remixes and genre hybrids, I'm just sick of them.
I'm sure Dungeon Defenders (and Orcs Must Die, which I've also had recommended to me) is really great game and unique and fun, but I can't bring myself to care even a little about defending from an oncoming horde. When I do feel like playing something tower defense-y, I'll go back to Revenge of the Titans, which is my favorite pure TD anyway.

IDK why. As much as I hate tower defense games, I just can't bring myself to hating Dungeon Defenders. Amazing game. I have 60+ hours on it according to Steam. A must buy IMO.

This would have been a good game if it had local split-screen co-op. But it doesn't, so it's bad.

Uh, yeah it does. Clearly says local co-op in the store page, and you can even set it up horizontally or vertically. You should read it.

Um, what.
It has local split screen co-op on PC, PS3, Xbox. SPLIT SCREEN ON A PC GAME. You can have four players on one computer if you have the gamepads.
It's more like "I didn't actually read the co-op specs for this game so it's bad"

This split screen co-op is horrible implemented. The text on the screen runs off the edges of your "square" and if you have 3-4 people on, even on a 65" TV it becomes virtually impossible to read the text.
Easily my biggest complaint about this game, since I play with friends more often in-person than I do online.

@takahami I'm not normally a tower defence/co-op type of gamer, but I found the demo surprisingly fun. I'd buy it if I didn't promise myself to not buy any new games until I find a damn job.

The controls are well-implemented for console. I could imagine it being annoying on PC.

Anyone know how to fix the bug that makes the game run at 3fps? Trust me it's not my Graphics card.

Also, shame on you if you didn't buy Borderlands GOTY for about $7.99 two days ago.

Does anyone know if the DLC will be coming out for PSN/XBLA? If you have a group of people, this game is mad fun.

I picked up Terraria last week when it was on sale and ended up spending more time with it this weekend than Skyrim. Crazy addictive.
