Well shoot. I guess it's usually a good idea to read the entire article before posting, hm?

And anything beside "LEGOs" is blasphemy

They'll be legos, but only available in one size: cube. Well and the doors.
Not sure yet how the lava and water will work yet.....

There is no need to pluralise "LEGO". Really rubs non-Americans up the wrong way. It's either LEGO, or LEGO blocks, never "LEGOs".

Always said LEGOs, always will. Saying "I'm going to grab my box of LEGO from the attic." just sounds wrong.

A big deal is always made about the LEGO brand and adding an "S". Yet, if you were to ask someone what kind of cars they had and they responded, "We have two Hondas" no one would say a thing. But it's the exact same situation. The obsession over pluralizing The LEGO brand has always irked me.

Saying Legos is as annoying as saying sheeps. And English speaking people are the only ones who do it.

Actually, it would more likely be "Hondae," (Ae being pronounced "eye.") as the A ending is typical of first-declension nouns.

Hyundai probably being second-declension, which sometimes has irregular endings, it could easily be Hyundaii.

Wow I've been in grad school too long.

@Vidikron Because Honda is a singular noun and Lego is a collective noun.

It's more like saying "I have a bucket of sands" or "would you like some pastas?"

You don't need to pluralise it because it is already being used to describe more than one unit. If you want to refer to a single element you need to talk about a grain of sand, a piece of pasta or a lego block.

One of the example pictures is a scale model of a dirt block made of 1x1 and 1x2 flat bricks.

A cube of dirt.

That'll be a huge Christmas hit for the kids.

Something for the fans, I guess. Does seem completely pointless, but if the proceeds are going to a charity, WHATEVS.

This actually makes me wonder if there is a LEGO texture pack for Minecraft.

"LEGO blocks"?

That sounds to English/European.

"Mummsy, I shall traipse to yon attic and grab mine LEGO blocks and partake of them. Please feed me my sup of Sheperd's Pie on the Noon."

Obviously they're just going to style the LEGO blocks after Minecraft blocks. I don't know what else they can do to make it more Minecraft-like.

It would be totally ridiculous, but it'd be awesome if they shipped you an 800 brick x 800 brick x 800 brick cube of of Minecraft blocks, already assembled into a random landscape (with inner caverns, of course) and let you deconstruct or "mine" it with your kids. Then, just like in the game, you could use the mined resources to build other structures.

This is actually a freaking amazing idea. They could sell the individual Biomes as playsets. Never gonna happen, though. Way too many things standing in the way (for instance, the fact that it would fall apart in the box).

I think it should be a huge cube with grassy dirt and sand on the top, then normal dirt, cobble, a bit of planks etc.

Oh! and some endermen and creepers so you have someone to blame when someone house is suddenly missing a wall.

I've always thought the idea of Minecraft was born from LEGOs.
So it would be like LEGO: The Game: The LEGO.

Minecraft isnt precisely LEGO
a Minecraft themed LEGO set would be composed only of perfect cubic pieces, and of course these would have the game counterpart texture

The thing is that you'd need a LOT of these pieces

And the LEGO man could have squared head and prism arms and every corner with rect angles.
